Hoping to have some possession in the last 20 of this match, otherwise I will be finishing in 10th.
Too bad about the result. I was hoping for a tie. This should make for an important match for the last game of the season.
I don't see how you would fall to tenth (unless for the prize money ranking for players), however helpful that would be for my team.

I don't know how I'm in second with the dreadful play of my goalie, who should increase to a 64% save percentage. I suppose that I did give a lot of the easier games to my backup, but I've had too many games where I give up 1 shot and 1 goal. I just hope I can get through the next two games to the end of my training camp unscathed.
WOW. I got VERY lucky on that match. I forgot to set the correct tactics (again) and am suprised I won at all playing on very low. If that had been an away game I would've gotten destroyed at least 4:0.
Dang, with the busy holiday break, I've had trouble finding the time to get on and switch tactics and importance. I'm now in tenth... Oh well, I'm sure I can gain a couple of spots before the season ends, I'm not THAT far off.
The 10 reference is based upon my failed strategy of finishing the first half in first. I pushed my squad energywise more than I should have and I am anticipating a severe drop off in the second half.
That's a surprising loss, especially since the manager still seems active in hockey. I still think that Samurai could have been at least competitive for one of the top 2 spots with an active manager and a good goalie off of the market.
I guess that's just the nature of the competition in this game.

So is that good or bad for The Death Munchers who have to play Samurai today? I'm thinking bad because they'll face them with Normal match importance for the first time this season. Then again, it seems like managerless teams suffer from general penalty overall, or am I making that up?
I don't know if teams that fold switch to normal importance, but I think it will be bad for the Death Munchers. While defunct teams suffer from a penalty to their strength, don't train, don't play to their full ability, and possibly play with random rosters, it takes at awhile for the penalty to kick in. The first few teams that play the newly defunct team won't have the advantage that future opponents enjoy.
Definitely dead teams play on Normal every game. That I know. And by the looks of today, I think the "coach-less" penalty is real as well. Using the eyeball test, Samurai at home on Normal should have lost by a goal or two at worst on most days to the tDMs. But the other factors you mention will make the penalty worse as the season goes along, I agree.
New top 10 spot up for grabs.

Good match, I hate to lose when I pour that much energy in but, that's how it goes
.

A team with Samurai's strength will be rather easy to beat immediately after they go inactive compared to a team like Safado, who was still winning games even without a manager.
I still set my intensity to high in the second half if I was losing. Just in case.

OK. If anyone else is going to quit can you just do it now please? It's getting a little old.
