I like the idea of having one player from each team on the active roster... even if they are a healthy scratch.
Yes yes, that what I meant then I thought like you said. Even in my division, there's a bunch of players above 700 so it could work.
I think you'd be better off having a minimum of 1 from each team rather than max of three.
There are 20 teams in a league. You need more than 20 players on a team. Everyone would get one player. If the team is inactive that means one less guaranteed. After that it is whoever is better.
I would propose that it is something like IRL. Not always the "best" but guys who put up the best numbers, make the Daily All-Star team the most etc.

Well, we could make use of the "all-star team". You have to take them no matter what are the selection. So you already have one line and a goalie to work with,
My thoughts too. Take the top-2 for each position of the season-long all-star team. The winners are locked in as Line 1 and G1 aka "starters"

There would be a greater risk of one-sided games if we use that formula, no?
The "official" all-stars aren't necessarily the best players available and so there could be a significant difference between the strength of the different "starting lines".
Oh and just like, well, all of you, I think all the teams should be represented.

All teams would be represented. But it'd be like "voting players in". You mean to tell me some players at this year's NHL All-Star game should have been there? No. They were "voted" in though.
When I was in II.2 my players wouldn't get voted as All-Stars because of my high OTR, even if they had more points and played against strong opponents.
What TheChad just said is what I meant to say.
And we don't have to recreate that strange idea from the NHL that is letting the fans decide hahaha

Yeah, letting the fans vote is a terrible idea, especially when certain rinks put "voting stations" in their arenas.
don't know if someone ask but... would be nice to see the stat for the face-off for each player!
Oooooo yes! It was mentioned but awhile ago. I'll slide it into this month's report.
