Sorry for the poor wording. TheChad's explanation is what I meant. Thanks!
What about having league rivals (like with the national teams)? I think between 0 to 2 rival teams would be nice. It could result in higher attendance to the game or something like that, but even if it had no "real" impact it would still be a pretty cool feature.
I've mentioned this informally. Likely a good idea to mention officially again.
Or intra-divisional all-star games?
Division I players go to the national team and pull in extra revenue.
How about division II, III, IV, etc. teams having the opportunity to do the same by competing outside their league, intra-divisionally?
Each league could elect their own general manager to run the team. Energy separate, a la national team. OTR increases per win spread amongst the league an optional incentive for managers to care.

Would make things quite interesting that's for sure. Would be fun to pit II.1 vs. II.4 etc.
In fact, this was part of a "project" I was about to submit. It involved league rivals, intra-divisional all-star games, divisional stats, divisional awards and/or cup winners cup, etc.
So I fully support this idea.
...and I suggest divisional stats/awards at the same time
The whole idea is to make you feel like you are not just part of a league (which is the case right now), but also of a division.

I'm full of good ideas to improve this already great game.
Here's another one: I'll flesh out my suggestions further and provide detailed means of implementation for a small stake in the powerplaymanager company.

Wouldn't that be a one-side matchup? Unless there is something I didn't catch?
Not I.1 vs IV.4, II.1 vs II.4!
So that wouldn't be a one-sided tournament.

That would still be one-sided as statistically the lower the league (not division), the stronger the team.
II.1 is stronger than II.4
II.1 is stronger than II.4
It is and it isn't. This season, yes. But if you were to make an all-star team the games would be competitive.
You're right (is that what you meant thegreaterikku?), but I think that if you take the best players from each of the II.x leagues, you would still get a similar team strength. Or close enough to make it interesting.
On a side note, do we want all the teams to be represented? Or do we just set a limitation like "max 3 players from the same team"?
