I see what he's saying with 4-3-3 but I'm on your side here... that'll burnout our fwds quick. Plus, we don't really have any SFs all CFs. But, we need more goals... we may need to do something radical - I'm not sure.
* Don't you think playing 4-3-3 while we have few quality forward will put a lot of pressure on those guys? Wouldn't they would burn energy during qualification games and get exhausted before the tournament begins?
No. As NT manager I always try to find a way to go on WC with 100 energy. I understand that. Each big (final) tournament starts on second season. On first season are always first half of qualifications. In that time only result is important. I want to play in a way that brings us points. My plan is always great start in qualifications. First season is most important time. Canada have very good team.. so I`m confident. After first season energy reset on 100. If all goes according to plan then in second half of qualifications we can safe a lot of energy. In many different ways. The best scenario first 11 on 100. Like I said: I`m not gonna play with only one formation.. I didn`t say that.
If plan A will not work then some energy must go away. In a way that brings us points. Nothing helps a good energy if you stay at home. Only regret. My thinking is not a criticism. In this qualification Canada had a lot of bad luck - I looked at matches.
Hudson Young have high skill of passing and technique. He can easily play on wing if that is necessary.
I personal don`t like to play with one attacker. Sometimes against much stronger team. Everything is just my thinking and my way of understanding ppm game. Course we will play friendlies and we will be able to tested different options.
"Other reason is that Frenette is so much better that when he plays with other, weaker forwards, he gets less shots, and other players are not as effective as Frenette to score."
It is an interesting thinking. On the other hand (in formation 433) Frenette can help a lot to younger talented striker. Because we don`t lose attack power (and total power). He's so much better to cover the deficit of his team-mate. if we win matches then isn`t important who score a goal. I will try to solve the efficiency in the attack. Definitely going to try also this way.

Interesting. We played a few friendlies in 4-3-3 over past 2 seasons as well as at least 1 qualification game in season 13. Maybe vs Switzerland or Argentina, don't remember.
Interesting
I am definitely with you on this one.
We have to try something 5-4-1 didn't work so well so why not try 4-3-3 with combination of other formation of course.
Canada never had a manager from other country and I have been always against it but this time you have my vote. I see you understand the game well, have experience and good results with your team as well as a NT manager with S LOVEnia and would be great to have you as our next NT manager.

Thank you for the kind words and your trust. I appreciate.
In life there is no guarantees... same in sport... games... But if I get a chance I can promise my full enthusiasm
And of course for me it would be an honor to become coach of Canada.

This is funny. Canada NT has been managed by a French guy without anybody noticing
OK it might be the flag but as long as Kokio is PPM magazine editor, we're fine!

Anyway what's more important is PRO pack and communication in forums...
Agreed. You see the U17 team? I'm getting away with murder

U17 is another beast... If managers give you crappy prospects, they can't expect much in return

Yup. I had to run 5-3-2 because we have no young mids!
I've just set my last line-up as NT manager. Feel sad
I went for chemistry building with younger players, though several players were in TC so I left them out so they can have their full TC bonus. Game is at 12:00 vs Latvia.

I've sent many invites for friendlies for next season, there are still a few openings. Most of the games will be on the road, we'll meet Solvakia, England, France, USA, etc...
BTW, elections have started! I wish good luck to all candidates but I have to say I've personally supported Kokio86 for the following reasons:
- He's the only candidate having posted on this forum
- He has 1400+ days of playing PPM soccer
- He has great track record as NT manager for many (6?) seasons with other teams including senior and U20
- He's involved in PPM community as magazine editor
- He's Pro pack owner
I feel comfortable with him, and have offered to help as NT assistant if needed. I hope fellow Canadian managers will make the best choice!
(disclaimer: these are my personal opinions, I haven't spoke to Kokio86 about this message)

Thanks for help (canucks, alex) and support until now.

Something is weird. I sent many challenges for friendlies but we still have 3 dates to book, and waiting for other teams to answer to challenges. However, I can't send new challenges, it seems that the date we have openings don't match other teams, e.g. Oct 31st. for us appears as Nov. 1st for some other teams. And even for teams where dates match, I can't send challenges. Maybe it's frozen because of elections, dunno...
