made a bid for him but i wont have money to keep him and my team isnt ideal neither for him.
Remember you will only have one season with him before he hits the open market again.
and worse .. will have to keep matching offers for the rest of his career or else lose him for nothing.
On the good side, this same issue may make him a "cheap" purchase

Richer teams have different interpretations of cheap. I'm guessing around 250M.
lol, no kidding. that is why i mentioned "cheap" cause for me, id still have to sell the team to afford
Yep. And of course, one player will not make or break a team.
Only a few weeks left before the games start to count. Please plan your camps accordingly!
I'll have my guys go through camp before the WCs begin.
Hell of a game today. We have a lot of Ls for our friendlies, but we've been playing a lot of teams from the top division. Most losses have been close, and many have been closer than the box score. Very optimistic for our chances when the games start counting this coming Saturday.
Well .. I selected matches against the best countries so we could learn how to play against them. Hopefully we learned something and we have success in the World Championship
We played our first World Championship match today and had a convincing victory.
This season we decided to play against the best countries. It was not an easy task specially since we also decided to start replacing the veterans playing an entire line of youngsters plus the goalie.
I feel we are very prepared to qualify for playoffs.
we play against...
1. 13th Belarus
We played twice this year to lose both matches. Last season we played twice winning both including the WCH match. It wont be an easy opponent. They started beating Norway pretty bad.
2. 24th UK
we played UK this season and it was our 2nd worst loss. Last season we played and lost too. They started the games beating Romania
3. 16th Romania
Most of their matches this season ended pretty close.
4. 18th Slovenia
5. 33th Norway
This team is not good. They are "luck" to be in this division. Was destroyed by Belarus even though they played on Very Low.
There will be 5 teams fighting for 4 slots. Starting beating Slovenia was very important for us. Out of those 5 we are still considered the under dogs

First of all, to those managers who had started camps recently, I apologize that your players weren't pulled (but you probably expected that). The timing of the World Championships and the end of the season in hockey are very unfortunate, since most teams are done for the season now and have saved a camp or two. Meanwhile, the games have just started to count for the national teams. I'm sure most or all of you as managers are used to it at this point and if this is the best time to run your camps based on your league schedule, then there's no getting around it.
Team USA pulled off a statement win against a strong Slovenian team, beating them 5-2. Particularly helpful was the fact that we only took 1 penalty to Slovenia's 6. We killed our lone penalty and scored twice on the powerplay, but did give up a sloppy short-handed goal.
Most teams in our bracket are fairly close save for Norway, but Slovenia seems to be the third strongest team in our bracket by team strength behind Romania and UK. We are currently second in the bracket ranking, behind Belarus on goal differential. Belarus' ranking is aided by the fact that Norway's managers apparently fell asleep at the helm and were pantsed in a 5-0 drubbing. Norway played VL all three periods, which can only mean they never switched from friendly game tactics. Unfortunately Norway is the last team we face for placement, so they likely will play us a little harder. UK won a close game 3-2 against Romania, and the two teams are sitting 3rd and 4th in the bracket respectively.
Tomorrow we play Romania. Shooting is nearly identical between our teams, while they have a slight edge in defense and offense. Goaltending is where Romania has the bigger advantage. Initially it looked like we may have had a weakness in defense, but we've shifted some players in and out of the lineup and have put together a defensive corps that is on par with our offense. Add to that a defensive prospect I have my eyes on to join the team next season who could crack the top 8, and we're looking good there. Right now we have to focus on the youth of our goaltending and know that it will be better each season. For being ranked relatively low in comparison to the other teams, Clinton is doing an amazing job and is going to be a great goalie.
