Asunto: US National Team

So far I only found Cletus Ervin . I haven't had time to go through all the leagues I need to yet. I'm compiling a list of players in consideration in my watched players queue. Trying to plan for who may have an unfortunate CL drop next season and review our options in general.

It looks like he came from one of the teams that quit which is not currently in any league. I usually try to look through the transfer histories of the teams that have gone defunct in the last 3 seasons for the U18, though this is much easier for me to do than for the manager of the senior team to do, especially since there is a gap in scouting for the senior team.

This is proving to be a very fruitful endeavor. Mikey Figueroa is not going to be very happy. He was on the chopping block next season already based on the facilities of the team he was on. I was assuming Ulberto Brewer was his de facto replacement, which isn't necessarily a bad thing. Terrence Nyquist may have something to say about that now. I'll have him scouted by tomorrow, but so far those have been 2 very awesome finds. I also have stumbled across one or two 21-year-olds I already had scouted that still may have a shot at the team too.

In case some of you haven't checked out the national announcements, we are currently holding 2 competitions. The first is to design new jerseys for the national hockey teams. Winning home and away set walks off with 30 credits. As of right now we have 0 submissions.

We are also looking for submissions for World Championship tournament bids. We are looking for a logo and mascot for the U18 and Senior teams and will continue to accept submissions. Only 1 manager has submitted concepts at this time. We could also use someone who will design/manage a website for the Senior bid.

Im a bit busy now working on handball player selection search/analysis but i could use the site I used before for a bid we won in the past and make some changes

For the World Championship Bids, I think we're a little more lenient. There are 40 days left before the bids are posted, so we should probably have everything in within the next 30 days.

For jerseys, we're accepting submissions until Sunday, May 18.

We had a good win against Portugal on Sunday. Apparently, the kids are all right. Zachariah Mohr had a strong game, scoring 2 of our 3 goals. He's coming up on free agency soon, too, if you happen to have a couple pennies to rub together and a pressing need at center. Starting to see some of our younger guys hit 90+% chemistry, so we're starting to be able to rotate other young kids in to work up chemistry.

I also finished scouting the top leagues and have found a handful of players with potential to make the roster next season. Some of them may have already been scouted, but I threw them on my short list. I found 3 who had not previously been scouted, with 2 of those 3 all but guaranteed to make the roster next season. I think we've finally closed the scouting gap for the senior national team.

Lastly, we still have the competitions going to design the USA hockey jerseys and assist with bids to host the World Championship Tournaments. You can find the info in the National News. There has been only 1 submission for a mascot/logo for the senior bid and there is still no website. We have had no submissions yet for the hockey jersey. If we don't get some submissions, we're going to dress our boys in these:

Individually, no. I drew attention to the contest in the international logo/jersey thread. I know we're going to get at least 1 submission as I've been contacted by someone who is working on a set. I was trying to be dramatic to scare up more submissions. Stop calling me out on my BS!

Great work on the scouting gap. I definitely know that it is a huge undertaking.

I was actually contacted by someone working on a submission for the hockey jersey, so there should eventually be an official submission if the manager hasn't contacted you yet.

Alright, I've got a few things to cram in to one post, so I'll try to keep them brief. First, I am admittedly confused about yesterday's game with Latvia. To be clear, I'm not confused THAT we lost. Latvia is in the Top Division and we're in Division I running lower OR young kids. I'm confused how the tactics changed on me after I set them. I did the research and I remember picking Defensive because they've played Offensive throughout friendlies. Somehow we ended up on Offensive when Bulls and I didn't change it. So weird.

On closing the scouting gap, I've actually been done with that for awhile now. I didn't post an update when I finished, but we now have absolutely everybody who has potential for the senior team scouted. On top of the two I mentioned previously, I also found two more wingers, one over 1900 OR and one over 2000 OR. There are also a handful of other younger (23-24 year old) players who may be able to plug in if there's an unfortunate CL drop for one of our youths. Or maybe just because. With players now coming up through the U20 and U18 teams, we shouldn't have any missed opportunities anymore.

Lastly, there's only 1 week left to submit entries for the jersey competition for the national hockey teams! We've received 3 submissions so far, but there's still plenty of room for more.
