So far this quarter, I've lost 4/6 games. 2 of those losses (the last 2) were against non-playoff teams that my team should beat with it's eyes closed. I'm only in 3rd right now because the teams immediately behind me have been playing through the hard parts of their schedules.
I've had 90% of my starting roster injured this year, and I've had at least 2 starters out at the same time for the last 2 weeks.
I'm just fucking tired of it.

haha... so I thought maybe I could "trick" the injury demon by acquiring some injured guys from the market.
No dice.
I had 3 guys on long-term IR before today's update, and now I have 4. Lost another guy for 17 days haha.
At least it's a backup this time.
I finally saved enough for my next SA level (why I was putting off the medical center upgrade), so now I can focus on giving my guys a little bit more preventive care in the coming weeks/months.
Crazy crazy season so far.

sad thing is that my entire starting line is 400+ now.
3 of them very high quality ones.
I'm pretty ready to just build up facilities now. Now i dont need to be jealous at lanky's goalie

The player didn't even come from my sports academy. I had to buy him last season.
You know... I've been thinking that all things considered (injuries), I've actually done pretty decently this season. I'm 3rd in the standings, and I've been competitive in most games.
You guys talking about 400+ players got me thinking about how much injuries have stunted my training this year though. So I did a quick data mine.
My current starting lineup has missed a cumulative 59 days due to injuries this season.
Lloyd Russ
- 3 days missed
- estimated 2.559 training lost
Stone Larkin
- 5 days missed
- estimated 3.66 training lost
Derek Carney
- 7 days missed
- estimated 5.383 training lost
Sheppard Lawrence
- 19 days missed
- estimated 12.407 training lost
Franklin Calkins
- 25 days missed*
- estimated 15.7 training lost**
* includes remainder of current injury... he's still injured for 6 more days
** includes losses from the remaining 6 days of current injury
----------------------
Total starting lineup training losses THIS SEASON due to injuries:
39.709†
† Doesn't include Leonard Baldwin who I sold recently. He was also injured for about a week or 10 days, but I have no way to view his training losses, because I recently sold him. Actual training losses are probably closer to 45.
I'm not saying I'd have any more 400+ players than I do now, but I'd definitely have a lot more guys knocking on that door.
*sigh* seeing all that training gone is just depressing.
Now I'm just hoping that I don't see my CL dropping like crazy in the offseason.

Luckily I haven't had to spend a ton of excess funds on the market. I buy players here or there for cheap, to see if I can't find a decent bench player or a diamond in the rough... but otherwise, I'm hoping to keep it that way indefinitely.
The less money I have to spend on the market, the more I can pump back into facility and arena growth.

well .. 3 of my current 400+ I bought them.
I sold Tubbs and Byers who are 400+
Salnykov -> 10 days injured on my team
Phelan -> No injury
Heiner -> No injury on my team
Kevin -> 12 days
Pruett -> 0 days
Evans -> 0 days
Endijs -> 0 days on my team (just bought him)
so yeah, injury is one factor but not a major one
guys very close to 400
Emilio -> 11 days
Jerald -> 1 day

9 players with OR over 400. In 4 season just bough 1 player for 300k. Every stud is from academy.

ah. yeah, i just now noticed that you've spent like 200m in the last 2 seasons to get 3 400+ OR guys.
I don't know. I'm still happy building from within. There's just something about having american players that makes me happy. I couldn't really do it in hockey, so I really wanted to do it here.
Besides. The way I see it, I don't really want to help out the foreign teams by sending them money. If every season, the american teams are net loss (in the market) and teams in foreign countries are net profit, then it hurts us in the long term.
I guess I just feel some sort of nationalistic pride when I see all of my starters with American flags by their names.

I'm still long away from melon in that department, but i'm working on it.
