Yep. Probably because that's about the point at which teams are going to start seeing their Training Facilities (and other facilities) plateau (because of construction duration and cost).
I'm honestly wondering what most teams, especially those who have focused so much on facility growth for their competitive advantage, will do once 1 upgrade costs 1/4 of their yearly sponsorship money, and their facilities are sucking away over $200k-$300k a day in upkeep.
I honestly think that season 4-5 is where the great managers will truly emerge. Anyone with a bit of good luck can put together a very competitive team in years 1-3... after that, the real strategy kicks in. what you're investing in... how you're training your players, etc.

The purchase was great. He is one of the top OR players in ppm world (I think). The thing was: would I exchange one for the other? And eithout knowing that qualities?
Id train him and sell at season's end

But I guess my question is... he could've done the same with the 15 year old. Train him up 50 points and sell him at 390 at the end of the season.
What would be worth more near season's end? A 390 OR 15 year old, or a 430 OR 17 year old? I wouldn't even think twice on that one.
I mean it's easy for me to monday-morning quarterback his decisions. A lot harder to decide to do something and stick with it. So I do give him credit for doing what he thinks is best for his team. I probably would've gone a different way though.

Usually I stay away from 17yo 56 on last days of sean. Id rather buy few days later ehen I know for sure the cl didnt drop.
However he could sell better the 17yo. If he does not plan to keep him he could make some money

Well I had scouted him and his Q's are great. You're right that I could have just kept the 15y and trained him up to 400 OR and sell him at the end of the season. But I decided not to
If I sell Brian I will need a CB and he is a great CB with an amazing shot. I hope that I will pull another 15y and this I'll keep him

oh yeah... if you scouted him, that's way different then. At least you've got all the facts.
well I hope it all works out for you.
Sounds like you've got a plan.

BTW... I just realized that we only have one team with a manager that has a negative goal differential. 3 Teams TOTAL have scored less than than they've been scored on.
That's crazy. That means that by and large, even the non-playoff teams are barely losing when they do lose.
If you use this metric to compare them, ours is by far the most competitive division out of the top 4 divisions (I.1 and II.1, II.2, II.3).

Wow... I actually managed to sell Blaine Sims for 200k. This market is just crazy. I mean sure the dude is 15 years old with 230ish OR, but he's a field player with 27 FiP and 25 unscouted FiP quality.
The team that bought him has an HR lvl of 2, so I'm sure they were seeing his qualities look a little different. I can't help but feel a little bad for them when they find out just what it is they bought.

Depends how you see it. player you sold is his 6th highest OR player
Yeah... I guess that's true. I seriously thought I was gonna have to eat the cost of buying his contract out to get rid of him. He has like 148 days left on his deal, so it wouldn't have been cheap.
I completely missed his FiP rating when I signed him up.

Well someone has out bided me... Id don't know if it is a good thing or a bad for me. Im going to have cca 100m... What should I do with it?!?
