I understand that it's not a statistical category, but will it be in the future?

I mean, when i look at the match report i do look at the players who make the last minute sliding, or interception or whatever and compare to the other players to see if there are differences that might be related to skills.

Now it appears that I have wasted my time doing this, as the names appear randomly.


I'm basically at my wits end here in terms of analysing in which aspects i could improve my game.

My problem at the moment is that i do not have good attackers, but there is no way for me to bypass that effectively, by concentrating on corner kicks, free kicks, long shots, whatsoever. I simply have huge problems scoring goals and i'm unsure how to deal with that.

You don't need good attackers. My forwards are incredibly weak compared to the rest of my team, but smart analysis, clever field placings and carefully monitored training can get the best out of your team.

do you look at the match reports of your upcoming opponents previous few games? If so, do you see patterns of who usually scores and where they score from? Do you then change your lineup to ensure your Defense are in good position to hold those guys back?

Do you know which of your players are best as centers or wings? Do you play them in the right / best positions?

Do you train their attributes to ensure they keep a good balance while maintaining their primary skill based upon the role you give them on the field?

Nobody is making you sit there and watch it.

If I understand well, there is no need for making it better?

Do you really can get so much informations from match statistics and watching match live?

We can't see how well our players passing or tackle during the match. Maybe it's only me, but I need more informations to make good analyse.

Does anybody know yet how fouls, yellow and red cards are determined? there is no aggressivity like in hockey, and only option is to choose aggressive or non-agressive play in tactics, but that doesn't apply to individual players, just the whole team. Any ideas on this one?

I really miss tactics for individual players. But maybe that would be to much ot to complicated ?

Yes, you can.

Although, not so much the live feed. I don't use that in analysis at all, as the important stats are shown on the game results pages.

But before each game I do look at my opponents previous few games and look for scoring patterns. I also take a LOT of time in training my players, and ensure that my players are all high quality, or at least, high EQ (effective quality), as that's the vital figure for potential growth.

You could argue i spend too much time on a "game", but as you can see from my teams results, the time and efforts pay off.

If you look match statistics you can see that except shots and FK, there is no individual stats. Player ratings are not valid - because hat-trick scorer can get 3.

I would say - individual tactics and individual statistic would be great. But I think that demands different match engine (my opinion).

If so, do you see patterns of who usually scores and where they score from? - I don't go into the analysis that much, but i do look at the line ups of my opponents and always position a defender on the position of the attacker.

That said, my defence is not really the problem. I have 5 200+ defenders and a 200+ goalie. So far i've conceded 4 goals in 10 games. I scored only 8 goals (out of which 4 against a no name).

Do you play them in the right / best positions? - i think so, but i'm unsure what you mean by this. I field the left footies left and the right footies right, if that's what you mean.

Some players (mostly attackers) simply lack the quality to train either secondary or primary effectively, but they're the best i have.
My defenders all have ~50 defending, with ~25 passing, ~25 technique, ~24 speed, ~25 heading. They also have ~25 shooting. The side defenders have slightly more speed than the inner defenders.

So, all in all i'd say i'm doing quite a lot for this game. I try to set up a line up that in my eyes would be best to counter the line up of the opponent, but i guess i need to revise that strategy as i have little success so far. In today's game i decided to try something new, with success. Winning on low against a no name with 3-0 is something i haven't been able to do for ages. Let's see if i can keep that up.
