I just successfully saved a formation without a goalie in the lineup. Trying to get a match setup on Friday where both myself and my opponent will play without goalies and with 11 outfield players. I'm curious!

there are so many complaints about football, and they all make sense.. PPM guys really should change the engine to make it less random. It's ok to point out that things like these also happen in real life, and, for example, "we ran the game 100 times through our engine, and in 99 occasions the strongest team won", but it's not a very good style to ignore your customers. You think the engine is alright- we think that the engine is completely random. You should change it just because the customer is always right even if you are sure about yourselves. and the engine

Upon second glance... Default Lineup gives an error if you don't have a goalie. But lineup A and lineup B says lets you save a formation without a goalie.

Just checked again. Saving a lineup with no goalie in Lineup-A and Lineup-B was allowed but upon viewing "Next Game" there was an autogenerated lineup.

I'm also disapointed to the game engine. I haven't faced the worst kind of loses but when I see these kind of matches! I get more angry!

Even the worst team sometimes win. If there is realy 100 times through 99 times I am ok with, but if it's not, than I am on yours side.

Well, there IS NO random. You just refuse to listen to them when they tell you.

I agree. Maybe there are some probabilities that could be adjusted within the engine, but this random thing seems to be a misunderstanding. Obviously there is some randomness in the game, otherwise it wouldn't be a game! There is also some luck and some bad luck, so that you can lose a game you should have win, exactly as there are few people who eventually win the jackpot at lotteries, even though the odds are against them.

But please, don't call that 'random', this isn't!

End of season,there is allways rigth teams high on table, so its quite real that sometimes you get these "wrong" resuilts.
So it makes no difference if someone get some bad resuilts on season, coz its long one, and nobody can accuse random of they league position.

When you check long period(one seoson) there is no random,with who make out´and who`s not.

I agree: there is nothing wrong with the engine in my view. Most of these issues are due to disappointment and a lack of understanding of the tactics and how they play out.

You say that? in your position? First in your league?
And your overall stars are under average in your league!

Of course there is randomness. The result of match is sum of random events inside of match calculation.

C'mon Jarkko... You played in the beginning of last season several matches with weird formation 2-5-3 and you won even with horrible formation.

It's easy to yell those facts if you have no "bad beats" in matches

No, the result of the match is the sum of a number of CHANCE events. Random and Chance are NOT THE SAME.

2-5-3 isn't weird. It's not popular, or recommended, but it's most definitely not weird. If you have only a few good defenders but a number of strong midfielders who have good defense, then it's possibly the better option to go with, for that team.
