Can somebody explain me why my two best players miss so many penalties ???
1. sho 50 tec 50 mis 3 or 4 in row
2. sho 60 tech 46 miss today !!!!

I can understand 1 missed penalty or 2 but 5 in row !!!

I was wondering the same thing the other day, I have a player with 50 shooting and 52 technique taking penalty kicks and he has scored only 3/7 this season, I kind of expected him to do better than that. Is it just that these skills are too low for the player to score penalties reliably or is there something else going on? Like maybe offense skill also being important, my player is a midfielder.
That is because they are lousy ones. Sell them to me and I will show you how they shoot penalties
Anyway, just to mention, last season the guy with 60 shooting missed three penalties in one game (just like Martin Palermo did while playing for Argentina)

There is an answer.. but probably no one from ordinary users doesn't know it, at least currently...
I have the same problem. Shot and tech are all that are used in a PK situation right? I have a forward with 75shot and 62tech. He's missed 33% of his attempts. I'm baffled. And I always get scored on when the other guys get PKs. Such is footy
The best way to avoid missing PKs is not having to shoot them
I have checked my stats and we have scored only 1 of only 3 attempts in 29 league matches so far. My PK shooter has Sho 55 and Tec 46.

I am not counting - but my forward missed last 2 PK (sho51 - tec46).
If this is more and more common - than something is wrong with game settings. Maybe the reason is in practice - it's vary hard to practice only shoot and tec to outfield players, on the other hand GK practice is standard (there is no shot stopping to practice).

Well unlucky one who sold players and staff for around 100 mil 
Well thats not my fault right?=) That doesnt make it good youth pulls.
Maybe things go like this:
- You don't respect your youth pool - so there is no reason to get anything from it
