I'd say the latter.

I trained my players on shooting and technique to get a better result from his shots and score more goals. This hardly had a positive effect.

So I decided to scout a few top scorers in my league and the #2 has 19 shooting, 31 technique. However, he has 100 offence and 44 speed.

Another player who is scoring quite well as well, only has 18 shooting and 23 technique. He doesn't even have high offence though, just 48. he actually only has passing (47).

I am going to continue scouting my opponents top scorers and see how much shooting really matters.

Game Engine is far away from ok.
There is no individual plays - and that's the problem. There is your individual skill rating - and that's the factor (and oppositions GK skill) to decide will you score. If you score - than the goal has to go to some of your players - the biggest chance to get the goal has the attacker.

On individual skill - there is big influence from shooting, but average team shooting. So, you can practice shoot to your defenders and your attackers will get goals.

I know Vlady will say something different - but it would be better for PPM team to take some time and improve game engine.

And how do you know that? Thats only your speculation and game engine thinks player can he score not the whole team can they score its all about situations witch happen player against player not team agaist team..

It seems much more for me that the sim does not have particular situations, but aggregate calculations. After the calculations run, the situations are displayed. But, again, only speculation.

I am observing - and that's what I see. And I don't like it vary much

Is this just bad luck ?
5 days ago, my best midfielder and best forward got injured for 16 and 9 days. Today my best defender got injured for 19 days. All of them with fractures.

Man, Im guessing your training sessions are a bit too harsh...

i am playing in cup winners cup... Qualified for the next stage topping my group even if i loose my last game.. I am playing in the tournament for the first time.. What would be the next stage?.. Is the format same as champion league (of real life) where i will play against a team home and away match or would it be a lounk out match or would another group would be formed..

Just to ask you, Vlady. Is there any reason why hints for "correct-attribute-ratio" for footie players isnt given yet? And, if such a info will be given, will it be anytime soon?

IMO it would be a HUGE mistake to give hints. It's a Manager game, and part of that is being a manager... trying diff. things to see what workds.

I didnt ask for correct ratio, but for hints for it. Something like that PPM article for hockey players ratio. Not sure for that article if it is based on some PPM staff info or its based on game data analized by users.

there are hints already. red, blue and green ones
