Taxing player and staff training would be my solution against daytading. If every player loses 1% of training for each player that exceeds the limit it would really make me consider my extra players...
But daytrading has nothing to do with the number of players in your squad. Daytrading is entirely about buying, training and selling players for profit. The only way to truly stop it is to find a way to heavily tax players if they're sold within a certain amount of time. But that itself isn't always an accurate method of managing it.
I know bro, but lets stick only to staff section. He was able to disperse his ways of earning money on staff growing. He couldn't do that if he did not have big sales of players. Even when he does that, he won't be earning big bucks from that section.

My suggestion is to update statistics and team of day at 30 - 60 minutes after playing a league match like in hochey .
In hockey, all games are played at same hour. 
Money given for best scorers should be more than for assists, imho...

problem is with the fact that the number is black and wouldn't be visible on some uniforms. Another problem is that it's only the shirt and not the whole kit. It would be difficult to crop that image.
