unlucky, i got a few great players at the start of the season for once.
Hello everyone... I am a candidate for your U17 national team for next season. You can read my application on the elections page of the U17 team.
If you have any questions regarding my application or my work and expirience you can adress them to me on this forum

As the current U17 coach, I have decided I won't run again so if anyone is interested in the position, go for it.
To do the job well, you need to spend a lot of time scouting players and keeping track of them.
However, if you have ambitions to be senior national team coach one day then this would be a very good stepping stone.

Well, I hope you can help a little bit with the player database...also U17 is equaly important as the senior team as we are practicly preparing and making players that will come to the senior team one day
good luck to all candidates

Happy to give my database to whoever gets the job
I'll also try to make sure the players I think are next season's best XI are in the squad ready to go for the beginning of the next season.

I am far from even thinking that maybe I will be the one that you will leave it but anyway a good help for the beginning

You seem like a reasonable candidate to me but I'm sure other people will put their hands up too so we'll see what happens.
Important for the younger NT teams u17 & u20 is to make sure future superstars are included in the squad even if they are not quite ready for the run on team, simply to be able to "save" them should their club team go managerless.... They will then go to auction to be hopefully bought and saved. We only have a small pool of players so need everyone we can get!
exactly...and the ones you have need to be good trained so the ones you have won't end up as an average player even he had potential to be a superstar
Hello everyone,
I didn't see if you all noticed but current natioanl team manager, crico, has made me assistant manager of the team so I could get more info for the next season if I win on the elections.
First thing I would like to ask you all to send me scouted info of all your players who are going to be 16 or 17 years old next season. And, of course, to send info of juniors you will get next season with the potential for the national team. This is very important because a lot of players that are currently in the national team are 17 years old and that means that they won't be able to play in U17 team next season. We need to see what we have so we could build up on that.
Also, in case I win the elections, I haven't yet decided if I am going to go with an assistant manager from Australia, as I don't know your managers so well, or I will go with one of my expirienced friends in this game.
If you have any questions I will gladly answer them

Firstly, a couple of statements. My decision to appoint Walter assistant is not an endorsement of his candidature. If there was more than one friendly remaining, I would give each candidate a turn to see how they go. Also, I'm not intending to send my scouted players to him or anyone else now but I will send my spreadsheet with lots of scouted players to whoever is elected manager for next season.
Secondly, some questions for Walter, Atlantic and anyone else who nominates:
1. What are your realistic goals as manager?
2. What sort of communication do you plan to run with local managers?
3. Strategically, how can you encourage the development of the best possible players for Australia?
4. What is your short-term selection strategy?
a) Select the best possible XI at all times to maximise team ratings and chemistry
b) Adopt a broader squad approach to maximise energy
c) Select as many young players as is reasonable to maximise future chemistry and experience
d) Other - elaborate

1. I think the realistic goals in the beginning realistic goals would be to make a better result than it was made the previous season...this is a young national team and a lot of long-term goal is needed to make some concrete results...the most of the national teams in soccer have been made in the sixth or seventh season and they are far ahead than this national team so whoever gets the elections needs to be ready to stay long-term on this position and work hard
2. Communication with local managers would be in terms of training mostly. If the managers interest is to make a player worth to the national team he needs to take in considiration the opinion of the national team manager...which position to play him, how to train him etc.
For the other staff regarding the national team here would I be very active ( just as I am now ) and update your managers with all plans for the national team, analysis of games, explanation for palyers why have they been or haven't called up into the national team etc.
3. Strategically I can suggest local managers to play and train the player most suited for the strategy used in the national team. I can't demand something from them, it will be their choice to try and find a compromise with me or not. But certainly it is important to think about the strategical approach and that is something that is also important in the long-term success for the national team
4. Short-term selection strategy is to make a very big and good scouting job and see what do we have. Most of the current national team players are going to be 18 years old next season and won't play in the U17 national team next season. For the important games it is crucial to use the best players I think there are, but also it is important to think about the future. Call younger players that are maybe not so good to play at the moment, but the are going to be improtant players and they need to build up on chemistry and expirience. Energy needs to be very good planned so they would be as fresh as possible for the important matches...
P.S.
I really think I won't win the elections because, based on my earlier expirience, managers vote for candidates from their country regardless on what we say on the forum, if the other candidate even shows up here, or regardless if they have even a good application text...

True, there has been a tendency for Australian managers to be selected over the years. Atlantic is an improving manager and somewhat active in the forums. And he has already secured three votes. However, in my view he needs to try a bit harder than "I want try it" before he wins my vote.
