You had a good run. Disappointing finish, but U20s made us dream this year!

Talk about disappointment. I sure was. But it was the highest finish for this team in years. I was believing. Maybe the next manager will get the under 20 to next level. Thanks for the support.

You won't run for next season?

Well THAT was exciting! If I remember correctly the first time I won the U18 voting the exact same thing happened, going back to preferential votes for the tiebreaker. Would like to thank those that voted for us and also for those who did not. No better cure for constipation than an overtime shootout...

If you would be so kind to submit player numbers for consideration this of course would be appreciated. I will be scouting in earnest anyways and, being a Div I guy now, I have done a fair share of pre-scouting.

I am excited. Not sure about John Clit but I will soon enough find out. Have to remember which darkened alley in old town Hanoi to look and find out if Johnny wants to come out and play...

Yay! Also Amlinger from my team I believe should be worth it. He will pass Raven in OR this ssn and never look back (unless CL plays it's part prematurely).

Actually, if the current average training holds up, Amlinger will be 6 OR behind Raven at the end of this season (and only 18-20 OR ahead in 2 seasons).

Raven has a higher upside atm, and there are plenty of Ds with shooting, so I suggested him first. We're not too bad on the defense at the U20 level this season.

I'm surprised Joey Gartlan's not on the list, though. Is it cuz he's 4/6 CL? Or just not scouted yet?

That we only added 2 D-men means we have strong returns of 20 year old's with little chem. Amlinger will most likely be in next weekend. Gartlan's numbers are due this weekend. Our scouting list numbers around 30 (we scoured Europe...) so some things must wait...

With Raven, we didn't care for Amlinger's chem so much. Toughness is good but so is responsibility.

That's fine. To each their own. I don't believe tech is too important for D's. I have never witnessed better or worse performances that seemed to link the two, especially in the U18s or U20s. Only terrible tech next to a great aggressivity stat seem to have an impact on penalties and, let's be honest, no U20 has that great of an aggressivity stat.

Points invested in defense, passing and aggressivity (as well as shooting) have much more actual impact in the game than tech, so I don't want to waste too many points towards training a less useful stat.

But the jury is still out on the optimal way of developing players, so it's fine to disagree.

Spending the night in the sin bin sucks. it drags the team's performance. also, with bad tec for defencemen. i am not sure that it is noticable individually. i think it shows up on the team...
