In the news today: The Raging Pigs' coach Waldemar Dogilski is fined $25,000 by the league for accusing the referees of catering to the home crowd.
Today's loss may have killed my bid for 4th or 5th. I thought that my training camp would be over by now, or alternatively, that I could bring players back early. I was mistaken on both counts and then played on low intensity anyways. Bad management... costly.
I lost today also. 3rd place seems out of reach. To move up to 4th I need to win virtually every game. Still have 2 games against the top 4 and have yet to win against any of them. Need to focus on facilties for long term hope.
Touche salesman. Given your difficult schedule down the stretch, it would have been possible to catch your Hornets had I even stolen a point yesterday. Unfortunately, I think the 12 point lead is insurmountable. So much for 4th.

I didn't expect a win, but I also didn't expect to outshoot the Smoke Eaters 35-15. Damn you, Fulvio Duvoisin.
Finally I win against a top 4 team in our league. On top of that I pulled a 214 OR goalie with a 70% plus quality. Will be real battle for #1 goalie next year. May have to sell Stegehuis.
It's a wild division. I don't think you can discount any of the top 6 in the playoffs. I think every one of the top 6 has either beaten or derivatively beaten one another.
I can't buy a good pull. The past two have resulted in 4 players with less than 140 OR and the other 2 were both below 170. None of them have any potential. Humbug.

I had two +200OR players and one +110OR player in the last pull. Don't get too disgruntled by poor OR pulls. I recall reading a post about a manager who got rid of his veteran low OR players, replacing them with decent OR younger players...and couldn't win anymore. Don't count out veterans. Some of my better players aren't in my top 10 for OR.
My team is driven by pulls and market additions. The squad I inherited has 4 players still starting today together with 6 pulls (7 if you include the back-up goalie) and 6 market additions.
Also, it's not just for these playoffs that I want some solid pulls. The SA is supposed to be the backbone of my team. I believe that the market is an unsustainable source.
