3 more days to SA 4... Ziggy keep me from not looking at the SA until then
come on 190 player

So today I figured I would watch the game.... LOL... 23 minutes in and I am losing 21-3 Then the big turn around. I have a two man advantage.... What happens.... They score and have 3 shots. 1 shot for me. Needless to say I did not play too much attention after that. LOL
Could someone help me? I don't understand handball. What stats are good for offense and defense. I don't know how to set my lineups or anything. PLEASE HELP!!!!!
The guide (under the information tab) has a lot of useful information. I don't know anything about the actual sport, but perhaps I can still be of help.
Here are the most important, second most important, and least important attributes (listed in order) for each position:
1) Goalkeeper: Blocking/Passing/Technique and Speed.
2) Back: Passing/Technique/Speed and Agressiveness.
3) Pivot: Agressiveness/Technique/Passing and Speed.
4) Wing: Speed/Technique/Passing and Agressiveness.
Everyone is still experimenting at this point, but I plan to use a .7/.5/.3 ratio for the three categories respectively (relative to fielding).
Shooting is extremely important and should probably be trained at least at a ratio of .7 with fielding.
Blocking is what matter for defense. I suspect that if you train your players more in blocking, then your defensive score will rise. I suppose that you could continue training blocking until defense=offense and then continue training to your average value for blocking for each player. Keep in mind that we don't really know exactly what makes a good defensive player at this point beyond the fact that blocking is probably relevant to some extent.
In setting up your lineups, focus on the most important secondary attributes. The player with the best passing should probably be a back, etc. You can always change their positions as you train them (for instance, your best back right now might ultimately be better suited as a wing due to qualities). It's also probably a good idea to focus on getting experience for your 15 year olds in general, assuming they warrant a future roster spot.
Hopefully this was of some help. Keep in mind that other managers might have come to other possibly better conclusions (beyond the information straight from the guide).

I think what's going to be interesting to see is if it's worth it to train defensive specialists with higher blocking vs. offensive specialists that can shoot.
