I am glad we are up to 4 teams. Well worth the cost in energy.
Totally agree. I'm hoping that the good teams we have left stick around for a while... it's sort of been the norm that as soon as teams run out of things to build up, they quit. >_<
I look forward to capitalizing on the extra energy all of my rivals spend on international tournaments. I hope all of you make it to the championship round!
hahaha. yeah. i had a rough enough time playing against you this season. I was pretty worried that I had to play you in the playoffs... and sort of surprised you didn't woop me there. Next year should definitely be interesting with all the international competition going on. I feel like it'll be the year for underdogs to really shine!
I had a more difficult round 1 matchup, so you were able to conserve more energy while I went all out.
It also seems that I let my pro pack lapse just before the second round, deleting my tactics for playoffs. It seems I ended up playing on very low as a result. You probably would have won anyway though.

I didn't want to come right out and ask, but I was wondering what you were doing with the VL in the last two rounds...
I was thinking you'd done the math or something and realized that regardless of the result, you'd get to the international competition next season... but i think the ONE way that it could've happened (after the 4 semifinalists of the playoffs were announced) where you'd be kept out, happened...
I hate that tactics get tweaked when propack dies... It happened to me in the past too i think.

Just a heads up guys... Mitch Hilton is available for sale on the market. Right now he's priced @ $30,000. Not bad for the 3rd highest OR US-born player.
I probably won't be making bids (even though I probably should), but I thought I'd let you all know if you hadn't seen it, since it's rare that US-born stars become available on the market.

woww... I figured I'd check the live score of my game against tescosamoa 's [handball_team=15892] at around 5:17 pm EST. When the game opened up, I was winning by three goals with just 10 minutes remaining.
I then witnessed the Generals shoot 7 of the next 9 shots on goal. I was on pins and needles as I witnessed Erwin Copeland absolutely stand on his head on his head stopping the first 3 shots (all of them point blank shots), and 4 of the first 5 before getting relieved by Lloyd Russ , who finished out the game strong with 2 saves of his own...
All said and done, the Generals out-shot me 11 to 6 during the last 10 minutes and closed the gap on the scoreboard to just 1 goal. If not for my goaltenders playing absolutely out of their minds during that span (stopping 6 out of 11 shots, better than a 50% save percentage), there's no way I would've gotten out of that game with a victory.
I know I complain sometimes when I lose close games... but I fully acknowledge that this was a game that went in my favor in the other direction. I didn't deserve that win. Great game played by the [handball_team=15892] and managed by tescosamoa

Spent energy too. Wanted to make the top 3 fun for the rest of the year.... Copeland uggh....
I mean... you've had some tough matchups during that time. I don't know why the scheduling always seems to put all the hard matchups back to back like that... but my schedule is similar. As of last friday, my previous 7 u.s.a. matches were against top 5 teams.
Sometimes the ball just rolls against you. as I noted in my last post here, at the very least, the game against me could've / should've gone the other way. You get a few of those, and it makes for a rough week.

I actually like the clustering of teams by strength in the schedule - it means I'll get a week of four of the weaker teams all together which is a perfect time to run a camp.
Well poop. Got so caught up with the markets today that I forgot to set my tactics for the national cup championship. That's probably gonna be bad news bears.
