Ha....totally. Yeah, I'm not sure what happened there, my guys just totally figured him out. I think the 9 goals between the two games is probably more than I've scored on him total in the the or for seasons since you brought him into the league.

Nice call on tactics today, too... I tried to just pick the one I didn't think you'd beat, but clearly I failed there. I guess my guys were just too determined, and somehow Flavio was off his game enough for me to force the shootout. Great series, man, as usual when I play you.

And nice OT win by the Jeepsters to force that series to a game 3!

I've been having a great time these last couple/few seasons. The quality of competition really makes a difference. I'll admit my ego took a bit of a hit the first season after dominating in III but, it is is so much better being in a tight race. I hope everyone sticks around for a bit.

I guess now that the season is essentially over it's okay to ask: How did you guys fare with energy this year? With the new penalties for losing on low I didn't get to "coast" in any games, hence my main guys started the playoffs in the low 70's (of course, I also played in two tournaments, which didn't help)

Yeah, this has been a very fun league the last couple of seasons. I think that for a while, and maybe still, it was the most skilled II league, and it's definitely had some good, active owners. And I agree that the competition is nice... my stint in I.1 got pretty boring, knowing that I'm going to lose 60% of the games and saving my energy to try to stay above the relegation line. Here I've had solid, interesting competition for about five seasons of my rebuild, and it's been great.

As for energy, I'll talk more about it next week or the week after. I totally forgot about the new penalties. How's that work again? I hope I didn't incur any by mistake.

I think it was mostly an attendance penalty - if you lose while playing less than normal, you get an attendance penalty during the next match (I think it is scaled based on whether you played low or very low and for how many periods).

I played very low for the last 10 games or so, though since I was winning (and the same probably goes for you), there probably wasn't much of a problem.

Since I am not here anymore, I tried to kill my players. too bad PPM wont let. Going to playoffs with many players at 40 energy.

Wow. HUGE game from Vlasta Specian, including 19 saves in the third period, to preserve the game 3 shutout. Looks like he's really trying to earn that contact extension that he's up for right now.

Not going to lie, I was surprised to see the draft on a Friday too and pulled a dick move. I purposefully avoided posting about it in the hopes of getting a good player. Looks like it worked? Jealous of the Grey Wolves though, he was Showing A+ for me before and after the draft.

I didn't realize it until the last minute.

In any case, anybody who scouts can order their players for free now anyway.

The fifth pick was the only great player that I didn't scout.
