yeah, i was thinking the same thing. I'm new, making mistakes is all part of figuring things out.
For sure. Just have a look at your finances, I bet 90% or more is for staff salaries and given your facilities they're doing next to nothing for you.
Ya just for now may as well (for sponsor offers). Dump the rest. Just keep an eye on their contracts. You may lose your team due to bankruptcy so you may just want to revoke and start over.
we checked the code and everything looks fine there. Under normal circumstances, when you buy a staff member, the automatic contract extension is turned on. Isn't it possible that you accidentally turned it off when you were trying to assign their positions here?:
hockey.powerplaymanager.c...
hockey.powerplaymanager.c...
No, because they never showed up to actually assign a position. I've never had anyone prior in that position so the contract extension should have been its default position. I literally stayed online for the next hour to assign them a position,"head and assistant", kept checking their status, it remained to say "transferred" to Rampage but they simply never showed up on my staff page where you assign them.
In retrospect it was a poor idea to take them in the first place, as I've been informed I've likely gotten in over my head with staff at this early stage,so even IF they were here, I'd likely need to ditch them. Either way, I'm out of my bid cost. Something funky has taken place and i'm 99% sure i didn't do anything wrong, as you pointed out it is possible,i just never got to the actual point of having them to have on the team to dismiss them. Weird.

Upon further review, i can say with 100% certainty that i did not accidentally dismiss them, as per the staff page, when there is no one in a position you do not have the ability to turn off contract extension, it's simply not there to do so, and I've never had anyone in the position prior to "acquiring" these 2 guys.
It seems to me, maybe we've found a small glitch in the program? I'm not upset,as Canuck357 stated, it's a blessing considering my financial overhead. BUT, it's a concern, had i shelled out 7 figures for these guys i'd be really screwed. I'm willing to help you sort this out, take a good look into my account if need be.I'd hate to see this happen to others.

so my question is this...do i get my money back from these 2 bids? You say the code looks right, then someone should be able to tell what happened after the bids were won. yes?
I don't have access. Vlady is the guy to go to on this. As I said before, it is a blessing you didn't get them and their salaries since staff at this stage will ruin your team. A refund of money spent is the best result here.
well, if we could confirm that there is a bug in our system and you lost them because of that, we would refund you. But right now the situation is unclear.
ok. what do i need to do then? Everything I've stated is fact, and we're only talking about $110,000, not enough to exaggerate any situation.
There is a larger issue than $110,000 if what your saying is true.
Yes, that is my entire point. I'm not concerned with the 110k, its peanuts. Had this happened to a vet with a ton of money there,d be some very upset folks. It is impossible that I accidentally dismissed them as I never had anyone in that position before, thereby the option to turn of contract extension was never presented as an option. My claims should be able to be verified by the devs,Had i dismissed them i would imagine there would be a coded record of that transaction taking place,as well as where it originated from.I don't want to be the guy that claims theres a bug in the system, but i will stand by my statements 110%.Something odd took place. I'll leave it at that.
