We were facing a very balanced team, and in all aspects very close to us so the result was not something I took for granted, all I knew was we had to win.
Albeit undecided about what style to use I once again had a great team of advisers, and both Emerald and jtHash agreed that this was the style to use if win was all we wanted (Thanks guys, this win was yours as well as mine).

Now all that's left is to face the three teams that in my opinion are the hardest opponents in our division, and do Ireland proud.

Head high, eyes forward and let's move on to face the leader Argentina!

Just so you know, the Irish work better after pints!!

We faced a difficult opponent again and in the end I wasn't too disappointed with the result simply because we could have won as easily as Portugal did. The game was very balanced and was decided on 1 goal.

Yeah, another close game that we could have won.

It would seem the Irish players aren't drinking enough before the game!

We finished 6th, today's game is not relevant for the standings, however needless to say we are playing to win.

And so the World Cup ends.

Not the best of results, but I'm confident in the work I did throughout the season in choosing and preparing a balanced team which could have had a better result with just a bit of luck or a few more goals.

Even so, we had the second best goal scorer, and the second best goalie with at least 300 minutes of ice time, which says something about this team.

Time for the managers to analyze and chose who will lead Ireland next season, I for one am motivated and willing to continue.

I would like to thank the managers who contributed to bringing the World Cup to Ireland namely lo2010, hrubinator, emerald and jthash.
One last word of special thanks to Emerald and jtHash which were always ready to give me their view on tactics as well as support throughout the season and particularly the world cup.

I'd like to say a big thank you to xxflip for bringing a sense of community back to the Irish community through his hard work with the NT this season.

The Irish community were never one for talking much, but there seems to be alot more activity lately.

That aside, I'd also like to thank xxflip for his actual work as NT manager this year, his organisation and preperation of the Irish team was exemplary and I for one will be placing my vote here for next season.
