I think you're expecting a bit too much from the draft. I thought ours ended up pretty good. Four As and three gems is quite good. I'd be happy with something like that every time. Have an A+ or three every once in a while and you have a fairly realistic draft.

why wouldnt i expect more if i have to do a daily chore just to get the same as my academy?

3 gems? were them Ds? what is the "point" of just random select some Ds and hope for the best?

check NBA 2k for example, when we draft we know the range where player should be drafted. And sometimes there is a "gem" that is better than the range. Would be much more interesting than just random select someone with no strategy at all.

and as far as "Expectations" i was one of the biggest supporters of the draft when some where complaining and whining. I guess i am turning to the dark side too as i am losing hope.

Since my team seems to have gotten really old and won't improve much any more, I've decided to sell about half of my older starters and all of my older second string players. I will probably wait until after the relegation round though.

Willmott, what's up with the Betamax? You've been the 3rd best team for a while now. I knew zomg and I were closing the gap, but I'm surprised to see you finish so far behind. And you've had an awful finish yo the season.

I suspect the name change is entirely responsible for your success. Clearly the Dudsville Atomics weren't explosive enough to merit a top 3 finish.

I am now starting my mini-firesale/youth movement. I am selling 4 of my top 10 players, another decent player, and another promising (relatively) young player. The deadline is in three days, after the relegation round ends.

It's sort of depressing how cheap decent but non-elite prospects sell for. I just bought a defensive prospect with an unscouted (though I have a good HR department) EQ of about 84, an OR of 486, and admittedly a CL of 5 for $10,000. I was lucky to pull a player like this even once a season with level 12 or less sports academy (though I'm upgrading my sports academy as fast as possible at this point).

It seems like the market for non-elite players is almost non-existent (and the market for elite players extraordinarily expensive), though these players still seem to have market value after being trained for 2 or 3 years by a somewhat respectable training facilitiy.

I my experience, those guys turn out to be useless. Last 2 seasons I bought several of those cheap, decent players, and sold a few of them, while I kicked out most of them, because they were utterly useless.

Newer teams will pay a few million if they are trained for a few seasons.

There are some useless players, but it seems like even some decent prospects are joining the ranks of cheap players. The player I got for $10,000 is very good except that he has a CL of 5 - I only pulled one player all season that is a little better. He won't allow me to compete with the best teams in 10 seasons (if I keep him that long), though I can't really afford to spend what it would take to build an elite team at this point anyway; I still have another season or two of focusing on my facilities and then likely a few seasons of saving money to buy elite prospects/players.

Scouted 100 players still have not found and A player.

I have to disagree...the value of B's & C's going up due to more D's? Hells no...you cannot add more value to players that really are not good enough to be worthy by increasing the number of shit players. All this is doing is making this entire "draft" a bigger joke than before. There is absolutely ZERO reason to participate in this crappy draft if you are not in the top 3...which is hidden until the end....WHERE IS THE VALUE? I trust my SA more so than this crud...
