Thats only your theory and I think its not true.
that was something that i heard back in the testing days and may have been true then. I also read a theory that shooting for goalies helped them read shooters better. However either the theory was proven untrue or the game was changed to get rid of this as it is nowhere in the guide.
I only remember that goaltending helped (or was planned to help) skaters to score more effectively but it was later removed from the guide.
That with shot I have listened too, but I dont believe. I train only atributes, that are in guide. And did you try train shot for you goalie?
thats what i was remembering. though i also think somewhere along the line i read about shot helping goalies.
matthew- of course not. I was agreeing with you.
I train
Goalies- Goal, Tech, Pass
among the non-primary/secondary the only ones i train are passing for wingers and tech for defensemen since it explicitly says in the guide that they help. I also train shooting for defenseman and forwards that have a good quality in it.

it was definitely in the guide before, but i cant find it now. but it doesnt mean that it is not thru any more.not everything is in the guide. i am not saying that you should train shooting or ofence of your goalie, but from my own experience it has an impact on goaltending.the same with ofence in defencemen, etc. even if i am wrong, your teams defensive strenght is influenced by the defense atributes of your ofensive players, and the same with the ofensive strenght and ofensive atributes of defencemen, so it is good if your players have all atributes on high level.
I hope it has been removed, it would be a mad way to organise things - defenders need off to understand attackers, and attackers needing def to understand defenders, they'd both be the same
It's actually been stated by a dev that everything you're saying on this matter is not true. It's one thing to state things you believe to be true as theory and another to state it as fact. I, as well as many here, appreciate hearing any theory and discussing them (ad nauseum). It's just important that we maintain a line between fact and theory.
everything im saying is not thru? thats a bid strong words mate.you are saying that it wasnt in the guide? you are saying that your overall defence and offence rating doesnt include defenders and offensive players together? i dont know what are you talking about. everything i said that is from my own experience is not fact just theory , and i think everybody else understands what is experience and what is fact. if you so strict on facts than tell me which developer, when , stated what is not thru from what i said, and then i can see if your theory about my reaction is fact or just your theory. thank you.
My apology for saying everything you said on this matter was not true. My intent was to say it wasn't true as proven fact. Well, at least with regard to stats for goalies other than goa, pas, tec. I can't recall which dev said that since I read a bunch of forums. As best as I can recall it was Vlady in the otherworld questions/answers thread if that helps.
I was wrong in including your statement of O helping defenders and D helping forwards. That is indeed fact stated by devs.
My biggest reason for replying to begin with is concern over how many things people state as fact which is indeed just opinion.

Change of tack! Is there any reason why I should not do my training camp in the time between the end of the playoffs and the new season? It seems a no-brainer.
There actually are 2 possible reasons:
1. promotion/relegation matches
2. national team player

If you are selling players during the season it can be used to boost a player's attributes to make the player more attractive to potential buyers and receive a larger sale.
If there are many nonames in your league and in the forecoming week, you could send players away for a training boost if you feel you are guaranteed maximum points and when you face managed teams your players have improved.
Most people will probably send players to camp at the end of the season if they have a large enough squad to compensate(including national team players being away) and are not in the process of upgrading facilities and may therefore wait until it is finished for a larger boost

Well NT players are not a problem for me yet
I have three team-noname game window coming up, so I'm thinking of using that, but on the other hand could do with the chemistry with playoffs on the way...

Oh, I forgot the energy. Players train worse with low seasonal energy and playoffs usually drain a lot of it.
