What is even more interesting is Safado's case. The have the lowest team strength among the leaders by a fairly large margin. They shift formations constantly including using truly bizarre formations (like a 2-6-2) and play all league games on High. They are also very fortunate that the vast majority of their final games have been against NoNs and lower-tier teams.
I'm really curious what their energy levels are right about now. It may be that they have cycled a lot of players through those weird formations to keep energy levels reasonable, but I'm not sure that would even save their energy levels.

I know Safado's energy has to be low simply because his team strength has plummeted over the course of the season. Through experience, I know your team strength falls along side your energy.
I think it's interesting that the top 3 teams have all used drastically different energy tactics throughout the season. Safado high energy use, Dummies mid level use, and Bears low usage. In the end, I think your porridge was just right Dark.

Well in our league it was an easy decision with so many NoNs and low strength teams its very easy to play enough games on low that normal could be used for key games. I'd never suggest going on High mainly because of the high number of fouls and the seemingly high rates for FK and PK goals.
I think I will have a much tougher time of it playing it that way in a fully populated league.

Don't blame you for making the hard dash to the finish. I have to steal a win against a NoN tomorrow. I've won all my matches against them on Low this season, but I may run Normal because my guys are getting tired. The victory will clinch the division.
Why not go high to ensure your win, it would be terrible to lose the division to a no-name
Because like I said before I don't like high (my guys are foul happy already) because of the high percentage of goals from FKs and PKs.
Wow, definatly should of looked up a couple posts my bad
Great season everyone! Time to send the boys to camp. Hopefully I'llbe playing against you all in the near future!
Official congrats to Dark for taking the league title and moving on to II.1
Looks like the race for 2nd is going to be an interesting one. I dropped a game to the Buckeyes and now sit in 3rd, a point behind Safado. A win and Safado is into the promotion game. A tie or loss, and a win by the Bears sends my team with a chance to promote.

Doh, too many guys in camp. had to sign a scrub or someone would be pulled from camp. Forgot I had a suspension....
Tough one for Safado but a well played season on your part.
Taking 2nd is one step. Tuesday, hopefully, I can complete step 2. My goal this season was to promote, and anything short will be a disappointment.
Now that the season's over, I'm curious what some of the top tier teams seasonal energy was at. My lowest player was at a 88, and thats with playing some Cup and CWC games on normal.

Chocked my last match, but I did have a few suspensions and my keeper was out injured. Congrats to # 1 & 2! Good luck in League 1 and the promotion match.
