In case of a group 1 unrestricted free agent, the contract length is also 336 days (3 seasons), but his former team does not receive any compensation. Group 2 unrestricted free agent always signs a contract for 112 days (1 season) only.

I could've beat the team that was second last season and fought for the first place with Wasphawks.. Now I still have to fight with Wasphawks but for 2nd place, not 1st... These teams that self-demote but could do very well in I.1 are very annoying.. What do they get out of this? the money is worse in D2, even if you get the promoting price bc the sponsors for being in D1 are a lot better! Maybe it's for the rating.. But thats just not worsth all of the lost money.. Besides, with a mid-table campaign in I.1 you will do about as well as being first in D2 so...
