Not having much luck marketing on the International Marketing page... 5 deletes so far

Was just trying to market a player who is FOR SALE.

They wont allow it but there is nothing in the rules about it.

They want to maintain a monopoly for the advertising mechanism; it's unfortunate but within their right. There is also understandable justification for preventing spam (imagine if everyone made 10 posts about every single mediocre player they try to sell). I never had much luck with the mechanism in the past, though it has supposedly been revamped since I last used it.

I did lose at least $5 million to $10 million on a very promising player who was deleted from the forums. I actually used the rather ineffective advertising mechanism multiple times, only to be thwarted by an inopportune system maintenance. The timing of the system maintenance was primarily at fault, but the forum posts could have made a difference.

I regret selling the player and am hesitant to try to sell my current promising 15 year old.

No, but I do plan to experiment with playing some of my future starters to see whether they are ready to take over yet. I want to see whether they are good enough to be competitive in a division II league so that I can decide whether I want to sell some more of my older players (I've already put my best forward on the market, though his replacement is actually a better player without accounting for experience or chemistry). Though they are younger, inexperienced, and lack chemistry, this does mean that I will be playing half a team with 100 energy on very hard (coming out of 2 training camps).

Is it worth it to update the souvenirs, and concessions?

If I understand the best time to sell is around 10-11 am....

Imo me it's better to sell a few hours later than that 11am

I've found fan shops (which boost souvenir sales) to be worth it. The numbers for this season come in as such:
3 Fan Shops per section and 8 sections gives 137,160 base daily maintenance cost. After the 34% reduction from the maintenance center and staff, it works out to 90,800 daily cost of my 24 fan shops.
We're 86 days into the season, so that's 7,808,793 spent thus far on maintenance. My current souvenir sales are 36,545,381, a difference of +28,736,588.
There would still be some amount of souvenir sales even without fan shops, but I don't think it would be so much as to make the fan shops not worth it. Maybe someone who hasn't built them can chime in with more detail.
They did cost 68,580,000 to build though, so it does take some time for them to pay off, similar to VIP sections.

The other accessories which boost attendance I don't think are worthwhile. I sell out or nearly sell out most of my home games as it is, with no attendance boosting accessories built at all. The same is true for my hockey team which is less popular than my soccer team. Thus, the only attendance that would be boosted would be friendlies and a few early season games, and I just don't think it is a big enough boost to justify the cost.

While giving up the tying goal in the 89th minute is no fun, pulling off a tie against the Coronas is still impressive.

For my team, it doesn't hurt that the Coronas only received 1 point rather than 3 either....

Man! I was really pulling for you too. If you had won that, they'd be only three points ahead of me with the Boilermakers left on their schedule. Now I've got to hope for the Psychos or Team USA to steal a couple points from them too (in addition to winning my last five, which won't be easy either).

Nevertheless, that's still a great game for you, especially considering you went a man down in the 39th minute.

You know what's no fun? Sandy Bragg scoring 4 against my Saints. I think he was upset that my fans were chanting Sandy Vag early in the game so he destroyed us.

He played better in our first game this season. Also, I hear tujague is the president of the Sandy Bragg fan club if you're interested in joining.
