I was a bit surprised Odger Momsen went for 30M, but you should get your money's worth. He should train decently for another couple of seasons and then, if you've got a young stud to replace him, let him go in free agency and get your money back.

He's been on my team since season 3, and it was sad letting him go, but Dave Eaton caught up to him, and there's just no room for a third-stringer who trains a little slower than the guys above him.

I don't really have a young stud to replace him unless my two average 15 year old prospects with 400 OR count. I needed the upgrade at LD or RD since my second and third string side defensemen both have 3/6 CL and 200 less OR; he'll be a starter on my team for a long time, even if he decreases towards 3/6 CL this year. RD or LD was probably the only position I needed to upgrade over the next few seasons.

Gabriel Guzmán 's actually been a really good player for my team, but he and Rex Frost will start to lag behind the rest of my team as soon as next year.

I can't seem to sell my physiotherapist (Rocky Smothers), even though he would have great OR and a relatively low salary for an intermediate team to pick up. I'm only selling him because a younger player passed him. I don't know whether his bad qualities are a deterrent or whether he just is not noticed on the market.

The Death Munchers used a heavily defensive formation as I expected (though with one more forward than I expected). Luckily, I anticipated their tactics and switched from my "man doing jumping jacks" formation to an experimental "muffin" formation.

Congratulations to the Rowdies on their upset. They win the right to face a well-rested Smart People team.

Actually, "projection of a muffin" formation or "cross-section of a muffin" formation would be more accurate.

That was the only real lineup I could use without getting weird. All but three of my midfielders are in camp, and all but two strikers. I was hoping for a lucky win, but I couldn't say I expected a different result. And now, the preparations for next season begin...

Not an upset at all. I had pretty much everyone in camp. I tried to play VH but so did he. Expected and congrats to Rowdies.
