The Red Wings have made the Top 8!  Yes believe it or not but after a week which saw Illusion of Progress lose two of three and Tri-City Storm lose all three games, the Red Wings have leap frogged them both to enter the Top 8.  Tri-City Storm in particular had a shocking week including a 3:0 shutout at the hands of the NY Rangers 94. 

Both Irresistable Force and Miami Rage had great weeks which sees Miami Rage move into outright 3rd spot showing thus far that maybe they can keep up the pace they set early this season when they caused two upsets.  Talking upsets, Quitungo Ice SS has caused another two this week beating the Americans and Swamp Foxes to once again prove that no-one can predict whether they will win or lose.  This loss coupled with another at the hands of the Miami Rage saw the Americans go 1-0-2 this week and sees them still sitting in the bottom half of the standings.

The highlight matchup was won by the STL Saints 4:3 over the Red Wings to cause the Red Wings only loss this week.  The Red Wings will be rueing their missed opportunities after having the home ice advantage, outshooting the STL Saints 29:20 and having a powerplay opportunities 6:3 in their favour but still coming away without a point.

This coming week’s highlight matchup is the high flying Wasphawks up against the struggling N.©.New York Hellraisers on Wednesday. I am tipping the struggling N.©.New York Hellraisers to start turning around their season and ground the Wasphawks in a close low scoring affair.

Delirium Trigger General Manager seclusion has hopefully given a raise to his Sporting directors after two young stars were promoted this week both with ORs over 190.  NY Rangers 94 and the Irresistable Force also found a young star but all the talk this week has been about Waldo Gould who was promoted to the STL Saints and is already playing LW on the top line with an OR of 239.
