made some changes for today, hoping it goes better. at this rate i could fall to 9th real easy after being at the top for so long.

I was actually hoping you would wait until this weekend to start correcting whatever was going wrong.

The latest pull with 159OR isn't as bad as the others, but he only has FP above 20. I don't know if that'll be very useful. He is now 5th on the team in OR, so I guess I'll have to play him. Ugh.

Have they mentioned changing the youth pull system in Handball? I would swear that both hockey and soccer produced more useful players early on. My whole 'strategy' of playing on Normal all the time was based on the Academy producing something decent each week. I'm starting to worry about energy=)

As bad as Lionel Deibel looks, I think he might make the starting lineup on offense. Which is kind sad The guy he replaces is just as bad and hasn't produced many points. So why not play the younger guy.

Danny Posey must be his cousin.... I looked this morning before my run. Ruined my Run. Well at least I have a second string RB for about 2 months. Then 3rd string. Then gone.handball.powerplaymanager...

Why is Todd Wilbur leading the league in scoring? He's not my best player. I didn't even think he was my best Back. Maybe he is? But he does have a whole 3 more shot than my other 'scorers'. Is that really enough to make him the top player in the league? I didn't think so, but...

The really impressive part is that in addition to being 30 goals ahead in the goal scoring race, he's also 5th in the league in assists.

Yeah. I hate him. He's one of those players who screws with my mind. There's no way to know what actually works when he's as successful as he is crappy. I think he also has 70+ more shots than anyone else. What the heck?

I think you have a good shot to remain at the top. Unless someone gets an unbelievably good run from their Academy.

Which is what I expected. Not studs. Just more useful players since we start with a bunch of scrubs. So I've been burning energy thinking I would be able to keep plugging new guys in to keep everyone fresh. That's not happening at all. I only have two pulls in the lineup. And both are recent additions. My original guys are all dead already. The top three are down to 85 energy already.

Checking your team, you've got 5 halves on VL, while I have 5 on H. So you're in a bit better shape. Fairfax Awesome is crushing his players, 14 on H & 17 on VH. The only other team conserving energy is Runnyonion's Quadriplegics, but he's not getting any pulls either.

You're in much better shape considering we're both in 3rd. I might have to start conserving some energy=)

Maybe I should have an offensive and defensive lineup. I think I have 3 guys (now 4 with Rivers) playing both ways.

Okay. I made some lineup changes. Hopefully this doesn't hurt too bad. I'm sure it will.

i don't play friendlies, which also helps. i have 3 at 89, few at 90 and some at 97. I knew from the start energy conservation was going to be key, its a 52game season plus playoffs. Up to 61games possible before promotion/regulation.

It's definitely not the lack of friendlies. If you play 50 friendlies on Very Low, it will only take a single point of energy.

In league play, your 10 halves on VL only cost you one point. My 5 halves on high cost me 5! Holy crap. I didn't realize the difference was so huge.

I had it set to switch to High in the second half when losing by only 3 goals. That was a holdover from soccer and wasn't very smart in a sport with so many goals scored.
