don't tell me this isn't a problem.

I think people are missing the point... that ALL 3 games were thrown. Not just one. ALL 3, there has to be something wrong with that. How is that defensible??
I completely agree it is uneithical to throw a game. But the I disagree on you perspective that is not a small issue. I feel the market is a much greater problem!
I peronsally feel the gains from the 1 atty junk players have put a considerable number of people unfairly behind in this game versus the total of sponorship money increase (from 1 game), 1 etrxa home game income, some extra OR & player XP & Chem isnt equal to guys selling 5-6 players at (low ball) $3 mil a piece.
Again I dont agree with either problem but like I said its a game and people will find ways to cheat the system.

Ok I do concede that there is more going on in this situation specificly, but I like Jo was trying to explain to me that I over looked. We ere using a generalized statements & examples.
i thought that only in PO of WCW and CL loosing team gets OTR and only half. Those 2 are the most prestige competitions with only strongest teams! What else you expect?
Blackkat the market is an issue, a big one, but what these two guys just did in this PO series is totally unfair, IMO. I thought they just did it for an extra-game, but it seems the winner was established before the first game.
Yeah I too noticed that and agree that this is unfair to others in that playoff bracket.
Again, i'm not saying it's OK, and I believe there is a team that investigates these things, and a method for reporting games. Running around here like our hairs are on fire unless PPm comes out and makes a statement in 20 seconds isn't going to do any good.
I also think in the scheme of things, this is less of a problem than they could be facing, but that's my opinion, and you guys have yours. In the end, PPM will do something, or they won't, and I don't expect an official statement since anything punishment wise that may or may not be handed out is between PPM and the users.
If you feel like it's a continuing problem that is "ruining the game" than you don't HAVE to play it. In the end, you will probably keep playing the game, and choose not to participate in potentially shady events like that. So with that in mind, what has changed but us filling up this thread?

If you feel this is a problem, Go to Information. PPM team, there is a contact for GameMasters and Game Masters supervisor. That is the proper (in my opinion) avenue to report this issue.
that's why this thread was created...to be filled up
...with real or unreal problems

There are some important distinctions to make.
On one side you have the throwing of a game. While its something I detest and won't do even for the 3rd game money, really I don't know if there is much that can be done about it. And the risk the person runs of hitting hot goalie, cold goalie makes it a risky tactic.
On the other you have the collusion of two people to determine the outcome of a playoff series. To me this is very serious, no different that collusion on the market.
But, the problem is, where is the line to what is allowable and what is deplorable. If two teams in a league final agree to play low so one will have more energy to play in promotion round, is that wrong? What if its just the 1st round? What if they only fix the 2nd game? What if they only fix the first two games? I don't get into the betting so thats a whole other issue.
But these are important things to consider before everyone grabs the torches and storms the castle.
