Your example is not really related to the topic at hand. You are referring to making the playoffs. I'm talking about a best of 3 series from the person in 1st places view.
If that person feels they have a truely dominate team and feel they can throw a game to get extra money, OR, XP, or Chem it would be a chance that a person may be willing to take. Does anyone have proof that they communicated in such a way? I doubt it.
I've seen guys in lower leagues & even others in lower leagues forums talk about how they want throw game 2 since they are playing against a Noname Team. Would you get upset over a person doing that? I doubt it as well.
This is just another example of people finding ways to give themselves advantages in a game. Its no different then anyone here that has tried & sold these good-for-nothing 1 Atty junk players on the market & make millions off of others to get a money advantage in the game.
Again why get all bothered!

Because it's not ethical and in the spirit of the game. How do you think governing bodies in sports would respond if this was done in real life? It's not in the spirit of competition.
Well it nots in the spirit to rip people off but this game allows that to happen on a regular basis with the market.
I'm sure I can keep going with other examples if I really wanted to, but whats the point. This is a game and like with every game since the invention of games, there are people who will find or try to find ways to exploit it and you just have to deal.

i have to completely disagree with you. throwing games has nothing to do with the market. the market is controlled by the teams and users. throwing games is not. when people stop buying one attribute players, people will stop creating them. it's simple supply and demand and has absolutely nothing to do with this situation. it's not an exploit.
My example is very related to the topic. I just extended the problem...and here what more proves do you want when in the first game home team has 30+ power and visitor team 12-13, and in the second game viceversa? just a coincidence? I don't think so...
look, I don't say that they should be banned, or any other form of punishment. I just say, like Bizzzy did, it's not ethical. when one manager decide to lose a game for a 3rd game home, more money, etc. it's OK (it's his tactic), but this game is for playing everybody for himself, not for making arrangements with your opponents.

you discussing about totaly unimportant and irrelevant things, anybody have right to lose game to earn extra profit at another home match, that happens in real file regularly. GAME CALCULATING ENGINE is the main problem of this game and no one discuss about it, random have at least 60% of the impact on result of some game. silly random ruined so much clubs which play great during the regular season and in 2 games they lose all because to big RANDOM. and OTR which gives a so silly in games of CWC and CL is big mistake and unlogical thing, have to be reduced
but CWC and CL are the toughest tournaments with only top teams! So its just normal that you get more OTR in those then in regular league games!
you're right, there are no upsets in sports.
i'd love to know how you came up with your 60% number. seems pretty randomly chosen to me.

CWC, CL and Nat. Cup are competitions that are especially vulnerable to random.
It's true that team has to be somehow rewarded by playing in those cups, but giving so much TR points even for a loss makes people bitter.

Bizzy, the market is controlled by teams and users. Are the managers of the teams making a decision to sit players and change tactics also not teams and users?
I'm not saying that throwing a game is right, but what I am saying is in the scheme of things it is such a small issue that I wouldn't want to waste the devs time trying to "bring a halt" to something that isn't a problem.
And this stuff does happen, 2006 olympics, Sweeden (I think) threw a game to avoid an unfavorable matchup in the next round. In football you could argue the Colts and Bengals threw games because hey, the Jets can't win right, let them in?
Regardless, I think in the long run while this isn't right and I certainly wouldn't honor an arrangement to force a 3 game series like that, it's a waste of time to "fight" it and sounds like a witch hunt.
It's bad enough when teams come in here and say "Why did I lose this game, it's unthinkable I did all the right things" that now we are also going to come in here and complain "Bob lost this game in person, he's a witch! Burn him!"

Throwing a game isn't officially allowed, i think. If it is obvious, a team gets a penalty for it. Seen lately in the premiere league from the Wolverhampton Wonderers.
its not a small issue. it sets a precedent. if ppm doesn't do anything about it it opens the doors for many more teams and users to do the same thing. and then it's no longer a small problem.
the market can be influenced by any team and user. a game between two users only can be influenced by the two users.
