45 minutes is definitely too much, I agree with that. On the other hand you don't have to spend that time as you're a pro owner. In many occasions people actually can't spend that time if they've got some real life. That is where I think the system is flawed.
I think vlady compared the non-pro pack issue to player market: It's just a comfort thing if you want to pay or be present. I think that's flawed because you've already paid PPM money for the players you're going to get but in player market you haven't paid any single coin for those players in market. On the other hand you can even make bids on market players in advance without needing to spend a single credit or buy a pro pack. We can't do that with draft.
I seriously think draft shouldn't be compared to player market. Instead, it should be compared to live match broadcast. Why? Because draft should be pure entertainment. PPM doesn't expect managers to be logged in to set tactics when the live match broadcast starts, actually they don't even let managers to do so. Managers can do that in advance and that's the beauty I like with PPM: so far it has been enough if you have been able to log in once a day. Now you have to be logged in at the exact time to get the best possible youngsters. If you can't be there, you'll get some crap and lose the money you spend on academy.
I had already decided to not renew my pro pack in soccer because one sport with pro pack is already enough for me and I don't want to spend more than 30€ per year in a single game. I was disappointed that PPM decided to make drafts pay-to-win and every second week. Because I only want to spend 5 minutes per day on soccer, I decided to make my game strategy to support that. Thus I demolished my youth academy to level 1. All I have do now daily is change my tactics, lineup and check if there's some free agents to bid.
I'm guaranteed developers have already read the suggestions to make everyone happy with the draft. Here's the summary:
- Let every manager to put players in order in advance for free
- Reduce the time a draft lasts
- Let people decide if they use draft or traditional pulls during a specific season

make draft like in real life once in a season last Sunday of season with 20 garanted A players for each league and 5 hiden A+ players
why should people be awarded with granted top notch youngster? i have built 15 lvl of SA and i get same as someone who has only 10?
imo, draft fulfils its purpose - diferent way to get players from SA, with draft theres even bigger chance to get something like usual SA pulls. What bumps people is that they think draft like real life - you pull best of best once a season which inst necessary. no need to award staying in last places in league.

I completely agree. I think people's main concerns were the time invested versus the reward received.
But I agree, stud players should be rare finds.

I thought the main purpose of the draft was to give everyone some decent pulls, even if their Sports Academy luck has been terrible. That doesn't seem to be the case though - you need to be lucky enough to choose a good player to scout, then you need to be lucky enough to have your scouts get the scouting report right and tell you he's a good player, then you need to be lucky enough to have a high pick and draft him before someone else, and finally you need to be lucky enough to have him show up with good qualities (I've seen multiple reports of A and A+ players having at least one really bad quality that murders their EQ).
In the end, it feels just as random and luck-based as regular pulls, only with a lot more effort required.

No.
More so to give you some control over the type of players you get. There will always be some element of luck, as is true with any draft. Having good facilities and putting the time in will only increase your chances.

I think the big complaints have been based on a misunderstanding of the purpose of the draft. Honestly, I think it's a good addition and seems to be implemented fairly well. My only complaint stems from the idea that having it occur every 2 weeks in each sport is a good idea. If you're going to do that, free players need to be able to do more for free or Pro players are getting a big advantage. It is NOT like a normal academy pull for non-pros if they can't attend or order their picks because other people are stealing the stars. For people who want to attend live drafts, it's just too much. 4 times a season was plenty.
There seems to still be a bit of an issue with the accuracy of the predicted value as well. I drafted an 'A Grade' goalie, four stars when he appeared in my SA, and his Passing attribute quality is 24 - utterly useless. If I get a 4* player coming through the SA on a non-draft week, he's always been well worth keeping but I've had no-one useful through the 2 drafts so far.
Stars and potential is based on EQ. If one atty is low and two are very high he shows up as higher rated than he is actually useful... it is the same when coming from the SA.
Thanks, that's good information to know - I must have just got lucky with my 'regular' pulls from the SA, and unlucky with my drafts!
I've pulled many a winger who shows up 95/50/85 or something like that. Many forwards with crap shooting. It is what it is.
Look at the draft as a way to target specific positions and if you're active give yourself a better chance at some of the better players that crop up from time to time.

I pulled 2 or 3 defnders which were really ok, but the tec quality was at 30-40% what a crap!
For a player that's on the market, you can see their attributes and unscouted qualities from both the market page and the player profile page. Why then can you not see the attributes/qualities on the player profile page for players that are listed as For Sale since you can see them from the market page anyway?
Good question. On a related note, why can you see contract duration for players from a foreign team on the Players page but not on the profile of those individual players?
