Draft was suggested from managers with crap pulls for seasons (like me). The idea was to make this game more fair regarding youth pulls. Draft should be once at the end of the season and the team with worst pulls all season goes to the top of the draft. But PPM turn this into moneysquezzer.
Define "worst pulls".
A draft at the end of the season should only be the lowest ranked player on the ladder being the top pick.
How is this a moneysqueezer?

greed is a strong word. This game is fighting for survival. Nothing in this world is free.
Agree, it is a strong word, but it caught your attention. Yet, it's still not strong enough as you managed to not answer the question.
I put this message on the suggestions topic and I got no asnwer back. So I put it again here, hope you will answer
Hi Vlady
I think that the draft was a very good idea at the beginning. Too good, to be honest.
We, managers, had imagine a better way to pick up prospect players when you guys announce the draft coming.
But actually, the draft we have now is at the opposite to what players expect and you developpers expect.
I suppose you make the draft for many reasons, including make the game more interesting for us and find a way to earn more money via credits options. No offense for that last point, I understand that. Draft will take us more time, and for some of us more credits. But for that, it had to be more interesting.
For the moment, the draft asking us more time, but with less chances to have a good player ! Until now, every week, we waited for the academy outcome, and 9 weeks of 10, we were "disappointed". But it was normal, we knew that you can't give a 5 stars player each week to each team.
With the draft, we are SURE than after the 4th pick, we have nearly no chance to have a good player. Why does we take some time to scout, study, classify and choose the players we'll pick ?
Because of that, a lot of us will not follow the drafts on the next weeks. And therefore, you will earn less credits.
Consider a draft per season, with maybe 30/40 "good" players to find. Every manager will have a chance to pick one, maybe two top-players for their future rosters. And so, it will give us a good reason to spend some time to prepare our choices. And spend some credits too
With this system, you can consider to reduce the academy outcomes, for example 1 every 2 weeks instead of 1 per week now. This will be reduce the number of top-players created in the game per season, and keep the balance right.
What do you think about that ? Everyone will be happy...

That was my message two weeks ago. And I don't talk about managers who play to many sports.

I understand what you're saying but for us, as game developers, it is our goal to give you a reason to come to our game and play. If we reduce the number of drafts and youth pulls, we are also reducing the time you need to spend in the game. And we would also reduce revenue from the draft credit features. That is something that will hardly be accepted by PPM board.
A few more things I would like to say. If you don't like the draft you can just ignore it and you will get a random pull like from the academy. But the draft gives you an option to pull players for positions that you need. It also gives you a chance to influence your luck. If you don't think picking after 1st round is worth it, just go away and don't watch the draft. If you think scouting players is a waste of time, then don't do it.
But I don't think that's the case because you never know when you will find that superstar player. And I think that's what makes the draft interesting.

In that case, why not make it that scouting only reveals player position, not potential, and CL stay hidden until players arrive to academy? So if you want a certain position you can attend draft or sort/set rank and credits will still be used, and if you can't make the draft you will still have the exact same chance of getting a solid pull like from normal academy pull, and not be left with only what is at the top of the board, most likely some C 5/6 players.
Hello. I have a question. A think the draft has a big fail. Why should the OR of a player dipent on SA. In real life it dosen't dipent how good a player is. Example Anze Kopitar the star player of LA Kings would have the same OR if he would get drafted bay any other team. I got a player A and his OR is 280. Why shuld a team with batter SA get a player with higher OR. This is a big fail. In draft every team should get a chance to get a player with 400 or 500 OR. Soory for may writing mistakes.
Tnx for your answer.

why you feel you have to get equal player like guy who has invested 250M more in SA?
Becouse in real life they have all equel chance. Or maybe we can do it like that,
A player A+ should get OR 500 - 400.
Player with A OR 400 - 300. Baybe would that be better.

280 is close to 300
invest money in SA to gain OR value

you cleary dont get whats this draft is about. when you will get that then you will understand
