Exactly - the teams that promote to league I.1 in any country are most likely doomed to drop. This IS a pretty good representation of European pro sports where you have a promotion system and it's a nice little boost for the promoting teams.
If they are going for realism then they've nailed it but if they're going for something that makes it competitive and have people wanting to spend their money on it year after year they're missing the boat greatly.

It's a nonsense, because:
1. why someone should be affected just because his country doesn't have enough population?
2. why someone should be affected just because in his country computer uses and have 10-15% of the whole population?
3. just because someone country is not economically strong enough?
The idea in it root is actually good. But you shouldn't look at number of teams in some country but at the league average OTR. By that mean, you will know how much some leagues are strong and you should give teams money in that leagues according to league hardiness, not just how many teams are in the country.

i totally agree with you.
for example, my team strenght is wery high, like 11. or 12. in PPM world. and I finnished 7th in my league.
that means that this league is very strong, and this is not because there are less managers so i can get stronger faster than the others (other leagues in PPM). ou contraire, that means there are several very good managers, and i can not evolve so quickly. and therefore this reduction shouldn't be based on the number of divisions but OTR of the league.

Huzzah! I think that'd hurt us more than help us... :S.
1. Serbia has bigger population than Slovakia
2. I find this statistic hard to believe, but it's not really relevant.
3. Slovakia is not exactly an economic superpower either. But what has this got to do with anything?
The thing is that this same formula is valid since season 1. Nobody ever complained until now. If we are going to make any changes, we have to think about them. It will not happen overnight.

I'm playing ppm from the very first season and I think that game developers have done more than enough to help new teams to cought up with older ones. Now teams get great promotion bonuses wich old teams did not have. I had to start from V league and I climbed up to II league without any additional cash prizes or reduction of seasonal rating decrease. And overall teams strength is much less of a factor now at it was then, the same goes about countertactics. Now anyone can win a game by just increasing match importance and random effect is much, much higher

1. Yes, Serbia have bigger population, but
2. Slovakia have 79.42% of internet users and in Serbia only 40% of population have computer and 40% of these 40% have internet access.
But all of that is irrelevant when comes to comparing Serbia to Slovakia.
Firstly, hockey is probably in Top3 of all sports in Slovakia, and in Serbia is almost non-existent. Also, you have a way more advertisements in Slovakia about PPM, than in Serbia. Actually, in Serbia advertisement about PPM is almost non-existent.
Also, when you look at other managerial online games, Serbia have at max 1000-1500 users per game, which clearly tells you how much at max you can expect to see people in PPM from Serbia. The situation is other way round in other economically stronger countries from where you can expect a more than 10.000 users (like Spain, Germany, France, UK).
And about that formula, I never read it in the Guide about it, nor in some news. It is not mentioned anywhere and in my opinion it's pretty stupid to punish someone just because he lives in a country which can't compete with others (in number of internet users, economical power or similar).
At least, we all should have the same chance, whatever we lives in Myanmar or US or Slovakia. but this is not the case, unfortunately

I for one don't see it as a punishment, rather as a compensation for the fact that it's quite a bit easier to get more OTR in a less competitive country. In the end it should all more or less balance out and seems fair to me that way. I guess in a way it's similar to how it's easier to get more OTR in a lower league which sometimes leads to people getting more money by staying there than they would by promoting.
It seems all managers from smaller countries are hired as marketing guys to promote ppm in their country, hahahaaa. THIS is really a bad joke vlady! It could not be really true, that you guys are making such stupid calculations!! Incredible!!
It's not easier to get more OTR in smaller country but in easier league. Smaller country doesn't always mean easier league.
