I love how PPM's response is "It's the same for everyone" rather than actually trying to make the game better.
Yes, it is the same for everyone, but that doesn't make it the optimal way to do things.
As for me checking stuff in the playoffs. Popeye, I work 2 jobs and I don't have access to the internet during those jobs. Kind of hard to use my phone while hanging off a roof on a harness or while serving people.
I think it is kind of arrogant of you to assume that I should always have internet access no matter what I'm doing or where I am.
Also, the hours are a little different for you than they are for us. The games are simmed at noon for us, which means that either 11 or 11:30 is the cutoff for changes to the lines. A far cry from your 5pm or so.
You have much more time to check and fix any problems.
I'm also not trying to pretend this is the #1 issue, but I will say that I have personally posted suggestions to fix this issue at least 3 times and at least a year ago. PPM doesn't do anything to fix their game. This just epitomizes the fact that they don't care what their customers are saying. They only care about implementing credit features.
And yes vlady, I didn't have ANY scratches set because what is the point of throwing a scrub on to my top lines? My non-roster Dmen have over 100 less primary and way less shot than those on my roster. It decimates the defense and effectiveness of that line to put the scrubs in their place.
Honestly, the fact that the devs don't give a darn about any of the players and only worry about implementing credit features is extremely annoying.
How hard would it be to improve the scratch system?
How hard would it be to run the injury calculations after the games are simmed? I mean, injuries are calculated before the training anyways, so why not make it 10 or so hours earlier to give people time to adjust?

PPM doesn't HAVE to do anything, because the game ISN'T broken.
Just because the times aren't to your liking doesn't make them bad.
I agree that the sub system needs to be heavily improved, but in the list of "important" changes, it's nowhere near the top.
As for the calculations. You're not a programmer, are you? It's not as easy as just running those sims 10 hours earlier, especially if the cron jobs that run all those updates are tied directly into the core of the system, as one would expect them to be.

Oh boy, first I'm racist, now I'm arrogant. I like when you talk dirty to me, can't wait what will be next
Ok, I'm just saying, putting myself in your shoes, I would do SOMETHING to override that problem which you have. If you don't have time, try after your work to set those players from 4th line as scratches, and everything will be fine.
Now, I haven't said you must be always online, or you must have unlimited internet access. Who would say something like that ? I said that you shouldn't be so crossed if you don't set everything like others and lose because of it, and I'm giving advice what to do when you go online (I believe you do have internet, since we are speaking through it).

I don't know if pointing fingers to PPM and blaming the engine will change the fact that he couldn't prepare his team properly.
Sorry dude, but when you say one Albania is enough and we don't need Kosovo, that's kind of racist... especially coming from a Serb.
Yeah, I suppose I could stay up until midnight to make sure no one gets injured, then get a couple of hours sleep before I have to wake up for work. What a wonderful idea. Why don't I sacrifice my health and safety by staying up half the night to see if a player gets injured?
This is issue that the scratch/substitution system is flawed, if you don't think so, that's fine. Personally I don't want a scrub who can't crack my 4th line to be playing with my stars on the first line. If you're fine with that, then that is your business.
Why am I frustrated about this? Because the issue has been raised before, a long time ago, and yet the Dev team doesn't do anything. How many other games have sub systems like this?

That's enough of that guys. The bottom line is that we will think about changing the scratches system at some point in the future when we can find some time in our schedule. In the meantime I recommend Chad to use the scratches system at least when he suspects he won't be able to be online. It's still better than a random lineup.

1- Yes, but keeping as well those national forums currently with many users.
2- Agree. I'd love to see a forum where we could open threads with every question we had, instead the current 1-for-all. That would help newbies a lot, by searching through the forum loads of useful infos in an easier way...
And a Off-Topic forum would be great to have fun and build closer relationships between users.

suggestions are being monitored. we will implement those which we consider useful and worth the effort
We recently had a strong wave of suggestions implemented, e.g. OTR gains related to opponent OTR, sponsorships vis-a-vis promotion effort, smoother sponsorship offers differences regarding final standings on the league, relatively better sponsorship offers for teams in upper leagues, amongs a full hand of other improvements that came as a suggestion in the first place.
Suggestion: Build league pyramids from the bottom up.
Currently, leagues are added on the bottom, and it is impossible to get a match-up between the bottom and the top.
I'll use as an example Hungary in handball. I'll assume 20 teams per league. With 4415 sign-ups, Hungary has enough teams for 221 leagues. If we use the method PPM has used for hockey and soccer, then it would have teams placed in 1 D.I, 4 D.II, 16 D.III, and 64 D.IV leagues for at total of 85, with 136 leagues in D.V. The D.V leagues would feed into IV.1 through IV.34. IV.35 through IV.64 would have no feeder leagues. They would soon be infested with no-names, or some new teams would be placed in D.IV and others in D.V, which is really not fair to the new teams.
Now imagine if all the teams were placed in D.V. The first season there would be 221 D.V leagues V.1 to V.221. The top teams would promote to IV.1 to IV.56 (IV.57 to IV.64 would either not be instantiated, or could be filled with no-name teams).
In the following season the top teams would promote to 14 D.III series III.1 to III.14, then to II.1-II.4 and finally to I.1.
So everyone would start in D.V with minimum facilities and arenas and mediocre players, and those who made it to the top would be based on merit.
This would also balance economics between countries. Currently a D.II team in Slovakia is in the top 2%, while a D.II team in Norway just fell off the turnip truck. But building from the base would mean fewer D.II leagues in Norway and teams would have to be successful over several seasons to get there.
Starting everyone in D.V would allow teams to be competitive from the start. It would be similar to Tennis Duel, where a new player may be successful simply by building up their resources and will soon be beating other players who expend no effort 6-0, 6-0.
