How about those teams that are intentionally relegated to lower divisions to get more money from sponsorship and prizes?
I mean, this is obviously a weird system, since in all football history we never had a club that intentionally went to relegation!!!
Relegation should be a BAD thing... Something to avoid at all costs, not a solution to get money.
I believe this is a major flaw in the current sponsorship/economy system and honestly I see no fun in playing in a league with rivals that make 42 matches with 42 wins and more than 250 goals in the season.

This would be easily avoided by forgetting team overall ratings and making the sponsorship offers based on other things, mostly the regular season and playoff positions.
we already made quite a few precautions to stop that. People will realize that it's not good for them sooner or later.
I agree on that and have been stating that in a subtle way, although it's quite clear to me. Eventually they will all realize it's a bad strategy.
I'm glad to know you guys are already doing (or did) some changes to modify this behaviour.
Could you specify what are these changes?
Thanks!

Lower sponsorship for lower divisions
Lower OTR gain for wins or draws against lower OTR opponents
Lower sponsorship for teams relegated on purpose on the relegation/promotion games
Lower OTR seasonal decay as a bonus for promotion limited to the first season the team reaches the higher division.

Winning 30 games against weaker opponents still gets me more OTR than winning 5 games in Div 1.
Can you show us your maths?
If you're right, then the system should provide more effective solutions than the ones already mentioned.

I must remember that OTR is only one factor contributing to a team's sponsorship values.
No, I can't.
I'm not PROpack anymore so I can't see my daily OTR progress.

You're currently in second position on division I.1. Last season you won the league II.4.
Again, I believe that the changes should provide a more impactant reason to avoid teams that are intentionally relegated.
I understand that the current changes (mentioned above) are not so impactant probably due the idea of don't "disturb too much" the economy, etc.
In general, these decisions inside virtual economies are studied and analyzed before they take place. But as we can see from the reports, they doesn't seem to be really effective in the first impression.

I belive they will become effective in 3-4 seasons. As U can see for yourself, at this point the promoted teams are still getting that huge bonus and small OTR drop, but in the end, a very small group of teams (worlwide) that will get to the league above will have those bonuses. As the developers anounced, every team will get only one bonus for each promotion so the second promotion (if they get relegated) will be without a huge money or OTR boost. I belive we should just wait a while and the results will come. After all, we are complaining about a system that has been introduced only one season ago...
Yeah, the changes are recent and since they're not so impactant as I said they'll not have a decisive role on changing the weird and wrong behaviour from the self-relegated managers.
I just think these changes should be more decisive in a short run.
It's just stupid to see top teams, top managers saying on forums "I was relegated intentionally".
That to not mention the boredom of playing a league where you can never win because a team from upper division decided to be relegated.
