I was talking hockey where I am between div1 and div2 in skill while soccer I am div1 skill.
Player wages both hockey and soccer are too low. So, teams which are in top positions in leage get better sponsors and lower position teams can not catch them. Players who have high overall rating should have more wages. And player player popularity should indicate wages. For example, think of a star player like "Ronaldo". In real life how many teams can have and pay wage a player like him? There are many star players in rich teams so lower teams can not catch them.
And you can see staff wages are much than player wages. Which teams's staff wages are more than player wages? I think, especially high overall rating and star player wages should be more and more.
This one was probably already asked, but I'm not sure so:
