What's the problem, Cory?
Here's my problem. I noticed that the Sun Dogs weren't active lately. He's playing on Low with Normal tactics. So I figured I could counter him and play on High. Maybe I could steal some points. Result? 0-8

Also, you need to have a ton of patience to do a rebuild. I'm not rich. I'm sure you're in the same boat. So you basically have to survive paycheck to paycheck and hope like hell you find a good deal when you have money. This thing started on June 20th and I still don't have a full lineup that I'm happy with.
I've lost 48 of my last 50 games
Realistically, this isn't even the team that I expect to take back to I.1. I could see me selling them all at 19 years old. Experienced players with great Qs should bring in a ton of money. With that I could finish all construction and rebuild again. Then I might be able to catch Leggmann.
Yep. You need a ton of patience=)

It's also fairly pointless to try a rebuild without high level training and regen facilities since you won't really be able to build that much of a stronger team than what you already have with mid-level facilities.
I'd guess that training 13/regen 12 with decent staff is about the minimum to see a real advantage from doing a rebuild. A good sized stadium is also required to keep the team from going bankrupt during the heavy loss and relegation years.

Yeah. Good facilities help a lot. Although I'm not sure if it's necessary to be that high. Cory what's your training like with 90+ Qs in your level 10s? I think as long as you can get 1.25 per day, you can do a decent rebuild. That would be around 160 OR gained per season. Which is 800 OR gained in only 5 seasons. Most 15yos would reach 1000 OR by their 20yo season.
And I'm hoping and praying that the big stadium can get me through next season=) Dropping down as the worst team will kill my general sponsor. That first season in III will be the worst. Maybe 6M per week? If it's less than that I might be in trouble. I might need 5-6M from the Medial deal. That's gonna be tough. But I expect to be a playoff team immediately. Maybe even home ice. Which might get me back closer to 9M in season 14.
I really should run my finances for next season. Just to see how bad it could be. This might not even be possible

Okay. Here's a quick look at my possible expenses and revenues from next season. This is not including the player/staff sales/purchases or new construction costs. Bad news first.
Expenses:
P.Salaries = 40M
S.Salaries = 50M
Facilities Maintenance = 50M
Arena Maintenance = 70M
Total = 210M
I rounded up to the nearest 10M for each of these. Player salaries should go down dramatically as I sell the rest of the old guys this season.
Staff salaries should remain relatively the same. Maybe a slight increase. I don't train many of my staff past what I can afford.
And there will be some other added expenses, but nothing major.
Revenues:
Ticket Sales = 80M
Souvenir = 10M
Skyboxes = 20M
General = 112M (@7m p/w) 96M (6M) 80M (5M)
Media = 96M (6M) 80M (5M) 64M (4M)
Total= 318M best case & 254M worst case
Lots of hypotheticals involved here, but I tried to underestimate. I'm making 4M per week from the Media deal this season. It should go up after adding 5,000 seats, right?
Ticket Sales are based on what I'll make this season. Should go up quite a bit after nearly doubling capacity, right?
Even the worst case scenario has me making a small profit each week. Which will be eaten up by loan payments if I don't take care of that asap. But I'm feeling a lot better about next season now. Thanks for making me do this, zomg

Oh I'm probably 3 seasons minimum away from starting a rebuild. If it helps tujague, when I won III.2 last season with my level 10 HR Dept. I snagged a general sponsor deal worth over $10 million per week.
My problem is my team consistently losing when they expend more energy regardless of whether the other team ups their intensity or not. My problem is picking the right tactics to beat the other team and still losing, then trying different tactics later and losing again. I'm just venting, I knew my team was going to suck this season. I just didn't think they'd be this bad.

Knowing that I would just be passing through, I haven't really paid much attention to the rest of your teams in the league. However, a quick look at the top players for each team shows that you're lacking in top end talent You only have 6 guys over 600 OR. The other 7-8 teams with similar OTS had 10+.
But that's not really your fault. Most teams started 3-5 months ahead of you. That might not seem like much, but it's huge if they know what they're doing. It will take a bit to make up that gap. Even if you had similar players already, odds are they wouldn't be as experienced.

Oh, and thanks for the sponsor info. That's very close to what I was looking for after next season. 9-10M for finishing 3rd or 4th would be massive. Then I need to win the league the following season to get back into II asap.
You don't need players with over inflated OR's just good talented players with EXP and CHEM. I have never had a player over 970 on my team and I have mad it all the way to I.1 and should finish in the top 12 maybe. If your players have the right ratios and the EXP and CHEM they play a lot better.
True, but I'll bet his players are mostly flawed, as well. He's a relatively new team and has a limited budget. The players he's buying almost certainly have a bad Q or two. Flawed plus low OR is a bad combo. But he knows what he's doing, so he'll make up ground on most of these teams relatively quickly.
The real question is how in the hell do you not have anyone over 970 OR yet? I currently have FIVE such players. And I've already sold...seven others. Man, I had a good team. I also sold a couple over 950 and have a handful of others still on the team who are over 900. Dammit. Feeling a bit of rebuilder's remorse right about now. It'll pass.

I was slow at building facilities is part of the reason. But mainly I have kept players with good Q's and low OR and have built them up slowly. Know I have about 10 players with over 900 OR and they have a lot of EXP and CHEM.
I don't judge a player by his average quality I judge him by the qualities that are needed for his positions. Here is how I judge a Goalie.I use this formula. Q = (G+(0.5*P)+(0.5*T))/2
Q = True Quality
G = Goalie Quality whole number like 90
P = Passing Quality whole number like 80
T = Technique Quality whole number like 80
0.5 = the amount trained like in ratio 100:50:50
2 = all the training added together
To me the Q should be better the 80 for me to want and keep them. When I was first starting this number was lower I am getting more picky now.

I agree with that 100%. AQ is rubbish. I almost never look at that. I tend to do the down & dirty EQ where you just add em up and divide by the number of Qs. I find that this will give me a lower number than the Adjusted EQ which you use. That's because the primary is usually one of the higher Qs. It's easier and it means I will underestimate my players a bit. I like to underestimate things that are good
With this rebuild, I'm looking for 87+EQ. I've had to make a few concessions. It's painful to shop for dmen on a budget. Some of them aren't great. I also got infatuated by Mihály Marton 's OR. It's nothing special, but it's a lot better than the players I could usually afford. His EQ is a decent 84.5, but that's mostly from the 96 pass Q. And some of the lower line winger/centers aren't where I'd like them. But for the most part, this team is much better than I expected for how little I've spent.

The last two posts have me curious about how much I've spent on my lineup so far. This is not including the players I bought who were either unscouted and ended up not as good as expected, or were just replaced by better prospects. This is just for the players in the starting lineup. I've spent just over 200M so far.
I got a lot of bang for my buck last season when I spent 113M on 14 starters. I had to do that to kick start the rebuild. I had to get at least 3 lines of 15yos as soon and as cheap as possible. Some guys were hits and other misses.
This season I've only needed to plug holes. So I've felt comfortable spending a bit more. I spent 90M, but only bought 5 players.
So what does 200M get you?

There you go That's my team's practice page sorted by position. Yes, a lot of my wingers are centers. I don't know if I'm just really good at finding them or if centers are just that common. But even when I search only for dmen, I still buy centers(Filip Rekić ). I could buy some more wingers, but I think I'm just going to let my SA fill those voids. Haha. That's a joke. A very sad joke.

Wow, a lot of speculation on my team. lol
I couldn't comment much as I was out of the country over the weekend and logged on only once a day as I found wifi. I actually only have 3 flawed players in my regular lineup of 22. The rest of my "projects" are on the bench until they reach an acceptable ratio, and no, not all of my bench players are projects. I have most of the Irresistible Force scouted and have been using Leggy's ratios as a blueprint. Most follow his ratios, but a few are following a 2:1:1 ratio due to poor Qs in certain areas. 16 of my 22 in the main lineup have chemistry of 100 and 2 more have chemistry well over 50. Although I do tinker with the lineup every season, I tend to reserve it only for players who I found on the market for a steal who are obviously better than current players or to replace players whose longevity decreased to a very low level.
In general I think my disappointment with my team's performance stems from the huge disparity in performance from last season to this one. Looking at team strengths in the league, I am actually outperforming my standing in the league strength-wise. It's just hard to go from near-dominance to cellar-dweller. The lack of any real discernible pattern is adding to my frustration of course. Look at the game summary for my very first game this season and you'll see what I've been dealing with most of the season: hockey.powerplaymanager.c... . Not only was my team a good 10 points stronger at the time, I cleanly beat him on tactics, I matched or exceeded intensity the entire game, and I outshot him. He managed to beat me on faceoffs and he had home-ice advantage, though. All things considered, one would expect to win even given his 2 advantages and yet I lost. I'm not saying there shouldn't be upsets as the game would be boring without some randomness, but random seems to be the theme of this season for me.
Oh well, since I'm in for the long haul I simply need to be more patient. As far as I'm concerned my team's real performance won't really be measured until I start the rebuild. I know this roster is not the one that's going to break into I.1. I should start looking for more tournaments with teams around my level to take my mind off of the league games.
