Thanks guys Looks like the best case scenario is winning 8-10 games like Obryantj did this season. Although his team is a bit better than mine. Hopefully I can steal some games to keep things interesting. Should be a long season either way.
It looks like draco should be joining me up there. He's playing the dead Mountain Yetis. They should be easy enough to beat if you want to promote. Of course if you don't want to promote, then I won't complain about getting to face the Yetis twice next season

Well, couldn't pass the chance to move up, although it took OT this last game. Don't know if/when the opportunity comes again.
(copied from soccer forum so no need to read twice)
Well, my pro pack ran out and I'm not able to extend it at this time....
This game takes way to much effort to maintain training of players and lineups without the Pro Pack. I had forgotten how bad it was. Sadly, the game is too tedious to manage two lineups with multiple tactics for friendlies and league games to make it worth the effort.
So sadly I'm calling it quits.
Good luck to all of you!

I still do my stuff manually, it gives me more time and vestment. I have the practice auto things configured but I like to tweak here and there.
I understand the frustration, I will miss you man - always a great conversation and a good manager. You should contact me off the forum and we can stay in touch. PM me and I'll shoot you an email address.

Thanks! I'm actually toying with the thought of spilling the beans on all my thoughts behind training and development and of players and choosing special teams because I believe I was on track for development of a strong team after many false starts. I've been really happy with the way my team has been outperforming the numbers on paper.
Sad to hear it! You should give a try and see what this season brings...
Dude. That sucks.
I think you're putting too much time/effort into it Just use one lineup and an easier training schedule. Check the results during the day when you can, check training and hopefully set tactics at night.

I don't understand. This game requires like 10-15 minutes of your time daily. There is no need to sit here for hours. Your team is not going to be stronger.
With the way I want to manage my team it requires too much effort.
You say run one lineup, well that means I need to sacrifice the future and energy because I can't work with the youngsters enough to develop them and see how they fit into the lineup.
You say use simple practice schedules, well that means I develop 2:1:1 cookie cutter players and can not custom train each player to the best of his abilities (especially in areas not covered by the main attributes)
Many people employ a basic training regimen, my regimen is individualized for every player which means I have to determine the next attribute to train for each player as soon as they pop in two sports and maintain an outside spreadsheet which tracks progress and makes training suggestions.
Not worth my time.
Look at my teams history. I've survived in the league I am in despite a 100+ point gap in top OR players. My team plays over its numbers because my players are trained to be most effective based on their individual qualities.
You say my team is not going to be stronger. Thats just flat wrong. My team *is* stronger than teams with similar OR players. My team would be significantly weaker if I dropped my training regimen and went with the simple 2:1:1 ratios.
The pro pack makes "my" game playable. Without it "my" game is unplayable.
