Not sure what his stats are but his OR shows that he is not deserving to be on the NT, experiment or not.

Our best line up should be out there from Day 1 due to the limited number of games our team will have before the Qualifications.

Jay Woodall has a 70 SHOT RATING AND 70 FIP. Why is he not the one taking 7 m shots? Jeff Rice should be your pivot-

They are the only ones in the top 10 OR that i have scouted

It's an experiment I've been running on my team and I told Bulls about it after he was elected since its been successful thusfar. Its a test for exhibition game(s), not going to affect anything if it doesn't work out.

Williams has a higher shooting than Woodall and by the end of the season it will be substantially higher.

Williams last year had the best shooting % from 7m shots in my division and this year is at 93.3%. In the long run is it worth it, I don't know, that is why its called a test.

there are more to that. if a game ends a tie and we go to shootout, a higher shooter could be valuable. And I have only 3 friendlies to find this out. he is a 90%+ at 7m.

This all makes sense as in real handball, there are some players that all they do is to shoot 7m.

woodall does have 70 shooting and he was the reason why i was thinking not experiment him.

however, all other players are 60 or less. most, 50 or less.

very unlikely i would risk placing him in the qualifications (because of the small amount of previously friendlies) but i might take it for one of the 30 slots. have not decided it yet.

Jay Woodalls Tec is also in the 50's- Again I dont have Williams scouted but I am assuming his tec is around 25-30. I can see how he would be useful in the shootout but do they have to have any playing time in order to be involved?

You are right about Williams' tech, its not high. Again this is more of an experiment I used on a player who wouldn't play for me otherwise and so far there is no arguing with the results, especially this year now that his shooting is so much higher than the average player.

In regards to technique according to how the guide reads it along with FiP wouldn't factor into shooting uncontested shots.

As for him being allowed in shootouts I don't know, I personally haven't been in one. I know he shoots my 7M throws and has a time played of 00:00 every game.

Our friends to the north have a pure 7m shooter as well. I have used this when I play my B team as well. Dress one player who only shoots. 0 minutes played and 7 goals. Quite a few teams are developing a 7m shot only.

That confuses me. So you are saying that we should make a 7m speacialist that will be only good for shooting?

I think that 17 year old's who are not above 320 have no reason being on the team. Especially if they are being built as an all around player. This to me is a waste of those extra's from being on the national team.

I agree- Players are going to grow this season. Once you pass the deadline you cant remove them. BUT you can always add.

Lucius Donaldson and Reggie Crowell and Matt Kearns are D1 players- I think Lucius should be on as an excellent back up goalie if nothing else.

Personally 7m shot specialist is a team position not a national teamposition unless they have 150 shot already and at least 99% quality on the shot. I use the offensive CB for the 7m shot as they should have the highest shooting on the team due to the number of opportunities they get a game. Their shooting training should be 100% to 125% of FIP. But if you dress a pure shooter you are going to spend extra energy on the player who see's both sides of the court. Which in turn means you have to carry extra at that position to keep the energy balanced.
I would recommend not having a pure shot player to start but keep the idea in mind and watch the other national teams that are experimenting with the tactic. The cost in energy may make it not worth while. Especially when the spot can go to a pure Offensive CB with good passing and FIP

There's more excitement for the national team for handball than I've seen for a while.

I might agree with tescosamoa about the 17 year olds, depending on their qualities. They came from weaker sports academies, had access to weaker training and regeneration facilities than the 15 and 16 year olds, did not have the advantage of the national team bonus for the first two seasons, and have fewer years of significant growth left. It's hard to know for sure without seeing their qualities or how their OR is distributed though.

There will have to be a choice over the extent to which this team will build for the future or try to steal a trophy that might be easier to win this year. Both are valid team philosophies. Even so, the United States still will not have as much depth as countries like Slovakia in the near future.
