yes but the strongest teams are primarily those who make a living trading shit players on the market. It's not hard to get a good team if you rip people off.
The system does however favour the already strong teams though.

I always think long term. For example, the common facilities first motto. But lots of people neglect staff training. I've started to load up on high Q staff, and not just the big $$$ coaches, but even arena custodians. As expenses get higher good staff and cut back on your costs. There is no excess staff fee so I'm loading up on good training staff. The beauty is, there is no 1-atty-junk in terms of staff. I consider a 12-40 manager a specialist, not a 1-atty-junk. The type of guy who you use his marketing expertise around sponsor deal times to boost your marketing power when scouting is less important.
Just that kind of idea.

i have the #1 quality staff member in the whole US, and he is a custodian... i will never sell this guy (unless i got two better)
Wow! Congrats! My top is 89th in Canada (tear) and then I have 10th and 18th in my league. Which is bad! But the thing is I have lots of good 1-Q staff and I tend to train specialists (staff with one quality >> than the other) rather than even just because it is easier, quicker and can work well... just more expensive salary wise.
Does anyone know what the odds of a player's C/L dropping is? Is it tied to their age? For example:
If age = 19 and C/L = 5/6 there is a 50% chance of dropping to 4/6 and 50% chance of staying. I got hit HARD last change-over but the time before that was relatively untouched. I hate that all my good players dropped. I'm so nervous it will happen again.

I doubt many except Stan have worked out a formula on the exact numbers. From what I've seen tho higher age has much higher odds of dropping c/l. I had been on the assumption TOI also had a factor in this but seeing the drops at the begining of this season I suspect it doesn't. I think a player who is 17+ and 6/6 has very very high odds of dropping whereas a 17yr old who is 5/6 has much less odds of dropping... if that helps. By the time they hit 20ish and 5/6 I think it's unlikely, but still possible of course, to stay 5/6.
This is yet another thing that bugs me about the game tho. It seems so unrealistic that a players career prospects are getting slim by 21. Just think canucks, if you played in ppm you'd already be an old man instead of a bright eyed college prospect!

We don't like it so perfect. We like to vomit on our conditions, snow, rain, and 40 C in shade.
A question about the skill distribution; is there someone who has experience with a distribution of 100-75-50 for their players?
Oh man, Canucks is old... If he was on transfer market I wouldn't give more than 2 milion for him
You and coach2live on the other hand have really good prospect as a Physiotherapists or Lecturers, we just have to wait a bit longer until you're fully grown
