Asunto: US National Team

Jojo, we lost some data unfortunately, i'm looking into how to get it back, but the best/fastest way is just for everyone to re upload their players. This needs to be done anyways, the DB is not automatic, it only updates when we update them.

I would run but there's no point. I'm not popular enough to win any election.

You'll never know if you don't run. Not running because you don't think you can win is silly. If you, or anyone is truly interested in any of the national team managers positions, by all means run, even against me. How else to get your name out there?

Well you have to be active on the forums to become popular/prove you know enough to be in charge of the national team. I haven't proven anything to anyone. Jojo is much more established in the forums than I am and I trust he will do a good job in the position.

Well good luck either way. But like I said before, if you don't try, you'll never win.

I think that it helps that you have been around since season 1. Honestly, based on the elections I've seen, people often tend to vote for whoever seems most likely to win, and much less than 10% of the country actually votes. Keep in mind that you only need to be in the top 10 for preferential votes to make it to the next round, when the real elections begin.

Quick followup on the DB issue, looks like yes, we lost some data, so I posted a quick reminder out on the league forums about the DB, so we should get data filled in again soon.

The DB owner is going to add an option for us to create backups and restores, so we should have less issues with this going forward.

Load a 16 yr Center to the database and he shows up in the database as a Winger Korey Tobin . Also with a quick look I found these players that are Center that come up as Wingers Curtis Macdonald and Leroy Brackett .

Interesting, I will find out what I can do about that. Again, the DB is more of a guide and a tool for us, I won't claim it's perfect

Do even the players with the best qualities and above average OR relative to the team and league) really have a chance to make any national team if the player's team hasn't been around long enough to build even level thirteen facilities?

Sure, if they don't have any players that can fill that role they might get picked up. But remember, now that we have U18/U20 teams, those players will receive training bonuses for being on the NT I assume, which will help them.

On top of that, there will be much more turnover in those teams, obviously assuming Chem holds, we'll have some players that we want to go from U18, U20, Sr team, but some players will not be good enough to crack the top ranks but might be a star on their junior teams.

It never hurts to put a player out there, what's the worst that happen besides them not getting selected? The NT managers can't pick them, regardless of what you think of their chances, if they don't know to look.
