You got the best match possible with Belgium (77ots) in the round of 16. Assuming they played their best lineup last game. This is a real good chance to reach the Quarters. Unbelievable job so far.

Nicely done! The way you've been handling the seasonal energy, we've got to be in good shape there relative to other teams as well.

On a self-promoting side note, I've decided to toss my hat in the ring for the NT manager election for next season. I like to think I'm a pretty good candidate--I've been competing in I.1 for the last four seasons, and I won the national cup this year. Great Job!! What I have learned from Obrantj is to keep it simple. Dont over analyze- keep with what works. Look at [soccer_team=30478] record all last month--

That was definitely a tough way to lose, but we had a great run. One thing that has been pretty evident in this World Cup is that the underdogs can win fairly often, as most of the NTs have distanced themselves from the pack yet.

Overall, I enjoyed my time as NT manager and I hope that the next manager enjoys it as much as I did.

Hey now, I don't think analyzing me is a record for success so much as a record for lazy managers who don't want to spend much time fiddling with formations .

lol... Since you have kept your formation as is you didnt lose all last month. I tend to over analyze

I've kept the same formation since season 2 or 3, only time I change it is when injuries or suspensions force me. It might work even better next season with the new changes to the game engine!

So, there's an election going on. Anybody have questions for the candidates?

I'll throw out there that it's a bummer about the engine tweak to reduce effectiveness of extremely defensive formations, as defense appears to be one of our strengths (five of our top ten NT players, OR-wise, are defenders. Hopefully the change won't be overly detrimental to teams with strong defenders. Although we definitely have other strengths to capitalize on.

Also, as I look around our leagues, I see a good number of 17-19 year olds with high quality and good facilities. If elected, I think one of my focuses will be to develop those players into solid replacements for the older generation that they will likely surpass before too long. Those could very well be the guys we rely on in the World Cup in season 8 or 10, so it's important to get them on the right track.

I just hope we can get the U20 and U18 teams soon. We still haven't gotten them in hockey.
