... and it's really a matter of perspective as to whether it's too expensive or not.
If you spend 10 minutes a day switching training, that's 1120 minutes each season (or 18 hours and 40 minutes) or 3650 minutes (~61 hours) a year. Even if your time is only worth $5 an hour (an extremely low estimate for most people), you're talking an annual cost of $305 (which is equal to ~220 euros). The annual cost of a pro-pack in all 3 sports is about 100 euros.
So the way I see it, it's actually worth it to not have to spend 10 minutes of my time each day doing mundane tasks like manually training my players. We just have a different way of looking at money and life is all.

It's not all about the money. As I said, the only benefit which I see in Pro Pack is automatic training. I can afford it, but wont spend on it anymore. It wont help me to improve in Hockey or Soccer. I will never be a top dog there. I might spend some money on Handball since I can compete here because I started from day one.
In Hockey I change training every 2 days. In soccer I change everyday only for elite young prospects. In Handball I do it everyday, since I care most about this sport here at this time.

seems pretty reasonable. I'm just always interested to see what people think about the propack.
i've come to much the same conclusion as you. I don't think I'll renew my hockey one (i got a year long one last march), but I might keep my handball one active, since I actually follow this game the most.
Soccer I really just started as a lark. I'll upgrade my facilities/stadium so that I can help support the US National teams down the line. That's the only reason I even have a soccer franchise. I'm not even training or scouting players at the moment... so i definitely won't spend any real money there either.

Probably the best game of the season (38-22) for the Cataclysm. I still plan to pick up one more reasonably priced quality 15 year old 300 OR universal wing with my spare money from the minor rebuild.
Nice! Congrats! Your fast break percentage was HORRIBLE though. I'd look into that if I were you lol.

Halfway point in the season. Everyone has played home/away.
Top 3 appear strong. Inter has a big 10pt lead on 4th. Mojo and Salt Lake riding dominant goalies, plural.
Next 3 appear safely in the playoffs with 15, 11 an 11 pt leads on 9th. Solid teams.
The next 3 look to be fighting for 2 playoff spots.
I think asking one of the teams 11-14 to make up the stagger on 8th place might be just a touch too much. The first to dedicate the rest of their season to the grueling 10 game relegation playoffs might have a leg up.

Thanks! 9 successful fast breaks is a lot as is 18 attempted fast breaks separately. My steals, forced turnovers, and power plays are up in the last two games. A few of my newer players are still in the process of perfecting their ratios, and a few of my players have relatively low shooting at the moment. Once I solve those problems, and correct for random chance, the percentage should go up. I'm honestly more worried by the amount of turnovers my team has given up this season.
Keep in mind that the teams in the relegation zone that do better get a handicap in the relegation round. 9th place and 10th place can probably coast into the relegation playoffs against division II. It's an intriging but still a risky strategy.
I'd not count them out yet. In the first season i was 10 point behind at half season and finished 4th with 10 points ahead of 9th.
My theory is that a team should not be more than 10 points behind of 8th place. It will sure require either a) get tons of great pulls earlier on second half or b) play harder and probably buy a couple of starting players.
Cataclysm is investing on players and he could be one of those to remove the gap and make the playoffs...

I'm not saying impossible, by any stretch. Simply it would be a lot to 'expect'. Or even simpler - a long shot. And bulls, you know making comparisons to the first season is not really apples to apples. The first half of that season were a literal crap shoot.
We're past the point where new SA pulls will walk into your lineup. Even high OR pulls will have low FIP compared to starters. So that leaves the market as really the primary place to make changes. Except we're still very much in a super-investment early part of the sport.
By the math, if the teams at 25 pts even turn in a 20 pt second half, that would force Cap's team to go from 16 pts in the first half to 30pts in the second. Or in wins and losses, from a 7-2-17 team (W-D-L) to a 15-0-11 team. That would be dramatic.
Maybe Cap will prove me wrong. Looking forward to the second half of the season.

Not to mention the Emus and Team USA are stout clubs, who appear at least as strong as anyone chasing them.
It would take a BIG push from the relegation zone, although it seems just out of finger tip reach.

well, that is why i said it has to be in the very earlier second half to pull some great players cause else it would not help much for this season.
First season then i gained 15 points.
Last season HSV almost pulled. He failed cause he failed to start playing at least on Normal, starting from 2nd half of season. he waited till 3rd quarter i think to make the push.
teams are pretty much the same strength so I cant see why not a team could drastically change.
LOL, for example, lost to Mojo and Salt Lake by 3 points only.
If I recall Hanover play a lot on VL. change that to Low and normal and could see some wins ... Although in my opinion it is more about figuring out the best lineup and tactic against each opponent.

Heartbreaking loss at the Cuckoo's Den today, as Team USA makes two huge saves in the last two minutes, and scores the winner with 20 seconds left...
