You're suggesting that speed for central forwards needs an explanation? Have you ever watched soccer? I wish I didn't have to phrase that question so rudely but to suggest that there aren't plenty of logical reasons that speed helps a central forward...from making runs, to the fact that players don't just stand around in the one spot they originally occupy and have the most influence over...
you're missing the point. the point is that if peter crouch was faster than he is, he would likely be a better footballer. and i would make the claim, in general and for the majority, that speed is more important than heading for a forward.
you are correct. there are no slow forwards with excellent heading ability in the usa or australia.
When you want to generalize - you have big chance to make mistake.
Peter Crouch probably will never play his role in Tottenham if he is faster but smaller player. There is Jermain Defoe for that part of the game.
If there is Individual plays in match engine - than good aerial forward would always be the first choice to play in winger (with good passing and shoot) oriented tactic.
