This mistake just happened to me today because I interpreted the guide wrong. You should clarify this point in the guide because I feel like I got robbed of a game even after I put in my due diligence to determine what the correct way to make my subs were.
The ? mark that you say explains it in the sub page is a dead hyperlink for me, clicking it does nothing. I actually did try to click that before I set the subs, nothing happened so I looked in the guide.
