He is free to, and has an obligation to run the national team as he sees fit.
After all that's what I did.!
But, when I see strategies that are different from my own, I believe I am still free to ask how those different strategies are effective.
A convincing argument, might encourage me to adopt them as my own.

How the top ten U18 teams are gaining chemistry/ experience for their young players.
It seems that the best teams are training their youth early.
These numbers are taken from the most recent U18 friendly game rosters.

Players aged 18 had already gained chemistry of at least 75% from their previous 2 years of experience in friendly games.
Top line chemistry would be 90+%.
This was achieved with NO LOSS in tournament energy for the season.
By the end of round #1, the entire tournament team would have chemistry of at least 90% (top line @ 100%).

I sincerely hope that they will be effective for us.

I am certain that mat601's objective was much loftier than not being relegated.
He is to be commended for his efforts, and I am sure, like me, he has learned from the experience.

It was great to see mat601 step up and take over the U18 team! I hope other GM's take the cue and also throw their names into the hat and take over the international teams as well. There is an old boy's club at work and that is always a really shitty thing. "Drain the swamp" and take out the rubbish. Rejuvenate the Canadian game!
