That's a tough break, but don't beat yourself over it too much. Go out there and get the best results you can with the players you have. Your players next season will be extra-ready.
It says you don't need the 1 day notice, but I think that's because you can't change the roster once the tournament starts :/
It's always been "roster must be set on friday" so I never waited 'til Saturday to do it to test it out. It would be complicated to change the rules for that just for the WC, anyway. Always assume the developers are lazy! (Because we are!)
That is sucky though. On the bright side, our team for next season will be well prepared and have some extra exp, eh?

I made the same mistake once in another sport, basketball I think. After all the work you do to get ready for the world's, annoying doesn't begin to cover the feeling. I too tried the direct appeal, with the same result.
Well here's a win with the 2nd lineup. You never know, we may be able to pull out a decent tournament.
The problem, of course, is that when we become upset and say things like:
"It really bothers me that when individuals who should have the capability to inform others of the correct functioning of the entertainment activity do not carry out these duties in an appropriate manner".
It just doesn't have the same simple, direct approach as:
"It pi$%es me off when some a&$^oles can't do their f%#$ing jobs!"

You can take the last three months of your time and effort and go shove it up your a%#$ole but there is nothing we are going to do for you because you didn't read the g^#%amn document that we wrote for you in the manner in which we intended it. When you complain about your lost time and effort, we will censor you and tell you that nobody else has a problem. It's called osmosis, Mr. Roedb, and if that is not your preferred manner of learning then you can go and stick it, well...you know where...! [smirking face icon]
