Oh.. what in the actual EFF? Broken by that stupid "low shots = higher chance of scoring" weird thing this game's got going. Tactics and lines were on point, if you look at possession and shots and penalties. We were just unlucky.

I feel your pain! Look at the senior result. Statistcally speaking, we should have won that game easily, especially being the home team. Now we may have to find a rabbit somewhere in a hat to even qualify!

Whelp! That was a frustrating shootout to watch! And also another stupid game where we couldn't buy a frickin' goal. It's been a trend with our team these past few seasons, and if you look at the stats from the other teams, it is basically the only area everyone beats us in.

I'll work on getting either offensive or defensive play % up over the next season, now that we have 3 80%+ tactics, but guys, in the mean time, please train those shooting attributes on your players?

Gonna put the called up 19yos on the ice for the placement games, because we might as well groom them early since we're not in any danger of being relegated and we won't win anything.

Sorry folks, I was not able to hold my word and get us to the top division this time around.

Just dropping in to let you folks know I'm not actually planning to make the U20 be composed of just my players. I was away from home for a week with nothing but my phone, a dinosaur laptop and hotel wifi, so my players were the only ones I knew to call-up right then.

I am back home now, but it is going to take me a few more days to catch up on updating all stats and doing all the call-ups. I'll try to work on it so we have the correct team to start working with on saturday, but can't make promises. Please bear with me!

Big thanks to those who re-elected me. I think we're actually going to make it to the gold medal round this time around. Our team is looking stronger now than it did at the beginning of last season. We have a solid core AND there will be a good number of 19yo that will also make it to the final WC line-up. As stated, I already called in my players that were on the U18 (and will likely cut Harrington, so I swear, not favoritism for my own guys!), as well as the very obvious choices like Elvin Petrakis (W) and Jonathan Oag (D). I am done updating all the 19-20yo stats and will have my roster figured out tomorrow at the latest

Thanks for giving me a chance to get frustrated over being unable to score again while the opposition we are beating in every other aspect scores 1 out of 5! Because PPM.

I know what you mean. The senior team seems to be going through the same situation in the past few seasons. We play in close games won or lost by a goal, often in the shootout, and the other team's goalie always seems to be one of the stars. Frustrating!

45 players selected to the U20 (out of a max of 50, right?). 2 of which (20yo) may still get cut depending on how I feel about their progress in the next few weeks.

If you feel that I've missed your player, please let me know! I have scouted a great amount of them, but some do get lost in the shuffle

I'd like to apologize to everyone for not paying attention and accepting to go up against the senior Portugal team in a friendly. I forgot to set friendlies early on (as per usual. Someone should remind me if I get re-elected, lol) and then ended up with the spare change i could find. The couch cushions were not super awesome about it.

Btw, I'm hoping USA U20 fills in that last spot in the calendar. They got no games scheduled yet, and the manager hadn't logged in in a few days when I checked this morning and sent him a mail, so I have high hopes. Otherwise we have a pending request from Portugal U20, but we're already playing 3 games against them, soooo... yeah.

Close loss today. It's a shame, we dominated time of possession and shots. We deserved better.

Yup, this has been our curse since I picked up the mantle... Can't buy a darn goal, opposite goalie always plays over his head. It's frustrating! lol

But that we held up this well despite the rating difference does predict good things to come when we play our final lineup. I hope.

So, uh... I just accidentaly confirmed my fear that players whose team have play day to day to false also won't play on the NT, thus messing up the whole lineup.

I'll set scratches next time :/ sorry. At least it wasn't a competitive game.

Well, dang. I looked at the past 3 games of Serbia and based my tactics off of that (I mean, what better guess does one have, right?) and apparently it was a big mistake. Not starting out VH was another one. Let's hope I can make this up vs Poland, yea?
