Indeed. Just heartbreaking. We handled them well most of the game but just couldn't beat their goalie. At least it didn't go to a shootout.
Bronze medal game is tomorrow against France, who we beat 4-3 in a shootout. A 3rd place finish would be the best we've ever gotten at the senior level.

Thanks to all who voted for me in the recent election. I shall do my best to make you and this great country proud. Several managers have sent me helpful player information already, and I encourage others to do the same. Most of the starters have an OR of 2600+, but I will be following and scouting anyone over 2300 with a CL of 2 or more and 70% improvement. I have great hopes for the team this season. GO CANADA !!!
Have found several players both foreign and domestic who may warrant a shot at next season's team. Some have been brought up this season, while the rest will have to wait until next season. So far the results from this season's friendlies are encouraging, especially since the major priority has been on developing team chemistry and tactics. Top line players have been given as much "rest" as possible to save them for the tournament. Your comments are invited, and will be appreciated and considered.
Benoit and possibly Winslow and Minnes. Doucette from Tomatos. Francoeur from Too Legit. And Martin from Poland. Mostly depends on where they would fit into their position as all positions are not represented equally. Also depends on how many 0/6's there are at that posotion and their "state of decay".
Ya we need a solid clean-out of the old senior guys. While we'll hurt in the near-term by losing their Exp... it needs to be done eventually.
Currently, the cutoff point for starters is above 2900 OR at all positions (with chemistry and experience factored in). That accounts for the top 28 positions. The next 22 positions are based on the ability to reach 2900 OR over the next few seasons. This should help to keep us in the best possible position to use our up-and -coming young talent effectively. Daily efforts are continually being made to find the best talent both home and abroad.
Great work. I don't take players who won't reach 2900 OR so it all depends how patient you are

No 150th birthday, July 1st fireworks here! Just a little flash in the petri dish in the second period when we scored 3 goals on 6 shots. Too much of the game was watched from the "preferred seats" in the penalty box. Take away their 3 PP goals and the EN goal, and the game was almost watchable!
We outshoot them 41-18.

So I fed the four leave clover I found buried at centre ice to my pet rabbit. He has nice feet, but I think he may be due for a pedicure.
